C is 3 months old today, which means I'm 1/4 of the way done with my 1 year EBF goal! 
Whoo hoooo! Fingers crossed it continues to go well.

Congratulations!!!! My original goal (and it's still my goal) is to EBF for six months! But I definitely set mini goals. Just make it through this first day. Just make it through this first week. Just make it to six weeks. Make it to three months. Now that we're at 4.5 months and the goal-line is in sight, I'm actually thinking of changing my goal to a year, like you!

Congrats!! Mini goals help a lot. Breastfeeding can be daunting. Mini goals and milestones got us to 8 months breastfed.

My original goal was definitely 1 year, but I really didn't want to set myself up for failure, or be too crushed if it didn't work out for a myriad of reasons. In the beginning I was all "just get through the next 72 hours!!" Then six weeks, then my whole maternity leave (10 weeks), then 3 months. Now I hope to make it to 6 months ... and hopefully keep going from there!
It's one of the hardest things I've ever done (and the best, most amazing too), but I know I've had it easier than a lot of moms! -
Nicely done! Oh yeah, we definitely set mini goals along the way, especially in the beginning. We're almost 8 months down, and I can't believe we are in the home stretch. Crazy!
