LO has been in 3T tops since the beginning of summer. I'm starting to think about her fall wardrobe and I'm wondering if I should continue purchasing 3T or purchase 4T?
How much bigger is 4T than 3T?
I would like her fall wardrobe to extend to winter which can last till April here!
She's currently 27 months.

hmm, i think it depends on the brand. Old Navy shirts seem small so I usually buy 4T but I buy 3T for other brands. I don't like clothes that are too big!

so she just started wearing 3T last month? I would stick with 3T
My DD usually gets a year from one size. She wore 3T shirts last fall and winter and this summer and spring.
This fall she will move to 4T

@Mamaof2: really more like after her birthday? So almost 3 months now. I'd rather not have to buy her a complete new wardrobe mid-late season! Generally speaking I don't mind tops fitting her large.
But thanks for the comparison. She moved from 2T-3T fairly quickly so not sure if the same would apply for 3T-4T?
haha I probably should just head to the store and compare sizing. But I don't retail shop much; mainly online.

@locavore_mama: pick up a 4T next time you are out and get a feel for how it fits your DD
If your ok with her wearing it big then get 4T

I've found that LO's growth has really slowed down (finally!). We went through all the sizes up to 3T fairly quickly, but have stayed in 3T and 4T much longer. There also isn't that much of a difference between the two for things like waist or torso length. I find the difference to mostly be in pant length.

I would buy one and see how it fits on her. I would rather it be bigger then have to buy new shirts come January.

@MamaG: So in tops where do you think the biggest difference is? I think in bottoms we are definitely firmly 3T till winter!
