For the longest time, T complains that his food is "too hot" to eat - he basically only wants to eat food that is room temperature. I'm not sure if he got burned or something at some point but I can't think of any other reason why he would be so sensitive.
Have you heard of anything like this?

C is the same...he will spit out anything that isn't room temp or colder, complaining that it's too hot. He's always been like this though and has some other food sensitivity issues (texture, etc) as well.

E is the same way....he prefers cold food (he'll let eggs get almost cold before he eats them!). He's the same way in the tub...he likes cooler baths (not even lukewarm, but cool). I'm not sure why, though.

LO is the same...she yells if we go to put anything in the microwave to heat it up. She just turned 3

I think it's just a toddler thing?! At least this is what our friends with older kids say. LO is 3.5 and definitely complains if food is "hot" (even when it isn't).

My kids do this and I always thought it was due to daycare serving lunch and by the time the kids got it, it was almost room temp. So I thought they just kinda freaked when it was any warmer than that.

DS will be 3 in March and he often enjoys eating cold food. Most of the time when he says its hot and I touch it, it's barely warm.

DS is the same at 2.5. Although as a baby he wanted his bottles hot hot!

It's definitely a toddler thing because they're so much more sensitive. That being said, I've noticed my kid says something is too hot sometimes as just a general negative, it can mean he doesn't like the temperature, or the taste, or whatever.

So interesting I had no idea this was a thing! Literally something can be lukewarm and he asks me to blow on it claiming it is hot!

L puts her dinner plate in the freezer every night. Then gets it after a few minutes and rejoins the family.

I'm still like this. Hate warm/hot food. So is my toddler! It could be from seeing me let my food cool, though.
