To be fair, we've never really talked about Santa as we recognize Christmas as a celebration of Jesus' birth but his school has had visits from Santa, he's watched movies, read the Night Before Christmas...
Isn't that a little young or is it a typical age to stop believing in Santa?

That’s pretty young.
We celebrate Christmas as the birth of Jesus but do the whole Santa thing too. DS1 is 6 and has yet to question it.
How did you handle it? Hopefully he won’t ruin it for other kids.

@ALV91711: So, his whole thing was "Santa isn't real, but Jesus is real." He is speech delayed, so it's really hard to get a full grasp of what he understands. We were just brushing our teeth, and it kind of came out of nowhere, so I told him what I always do that we celebrate Jesus and Santa is for fun.

I like your answer! We celebrate Christmas as the birth of Jesus as well. We do not plan on celebrating “santa” but LOs will know what it’s about because it’s all around during that time.

my 4yo (last year) told me santa was just guy in a costume. This year at 5 she told me I know Santa is mom and dad. Idk, I've never pushed the Santa narrative but I've also never discounted it. I think kids are smart, other kids at school talk etc but I just didn't confirm or deny. I'd like to let her decide. Her 3yo brother btw doesn't seem phased by anything she says

For "believers", that's probably pretty young, Like you, we celebrate Christmas for Jesus. We've never told her explicit that Santa isn't real but I asked my 5 year old just last night (we were watching Storybots Christmas) and she said he isn't real, but then she also said something else later. I think at her age, the veil is thin between make-believe/real anyway, like the tooth-fairy, princess, etc and Santa is lumped in that category, esp since we don't make him seem real for sure!
