@autumnleaves: ha ha! I hung out with smokers in HS and am well aware of their holiday. I thought the story behind the day would have been a little more exciting though.

I'm in Denver, and it's a huge deal here. Massive rally with speakers at the Capitol! We stay home to avoid it, it's not our jam.

I knew of this way back in high school, because of the Columbine shootings. There is one school district in town who is always closed on this day. It's labeled a teacher PD day, but I think they don't want to deal with the high schoolers (and, also I think because we're in CO, so the Columbine influence is strong).

I live in Oregon - where everyday is essentially 4/20. Like, even my friends who don't smoke pot usually have pot to offer.
I'm sure we have old pot somewhere in the back of our freezer.

I work in a Univeristy, in housing. I dread this day every year because I waste all my time dealing with kids who think it's the best idea to smoke up in their room.

It's my least favorite day to be a teacher and I'm super glad to be on maternity leave this year.
ETA: I teach high school.
I'm sure we have old pot somewhere in the back of our freezer.
