What are you planning on doing for your LO's 4th birthday party? Or if it passed, what did you do? Or did you not have a party and do something different?

We had her 1st friend party - invited 4 friends from DCP and had a small party at the house - it was perfect!
No local family but we also did cake and presents on her actual birthday

DD1 hasn't had a legit party since her first so we're throwing her first friend party at the zoo! She loves animals, so, I'm super stoked!!!
On the day of we'll be taking the day off work and doing something as a family. Leaning towards an indoor water park since it will still be chilly here.

@Mamaof2: What did you guys do at your house? I was thinking about doing something small at the house but no idea what we would do (it will still be too cold to do anything outside).
@regberadaisy: That sounds like a lot of fun! I like the idea of doing something with her on the day of too.

@regberadaisy: I'm so jealous you have a zoo close enough to have a birthday party at! Our closest is like 2 full hours away.
And I have no idea what to do this year. I'm kind of in the "can't we just count the preschool party as his real party and take him to Legoland" frame of mind, but my husband insists he should have a full party. I was tossing around the idea of a bowling party, but will a group of 4 year olds be able to bowl together? I have no idea.

We are going to do a party at a park and have a bounce house. We'll be inviting kids from preschool and it will be his first friends party.

@Freckles: It was a Rapunzel party.
I made braids for the girls and they added flowers and ribbon and for the 1 boy I made a satchel for him to decorate.
Since Rapunzel painted we painted - each got a small 8x10 canvas to paint.
We played pin the nose on Flint Ryder
We had pizza and fruit for lunch
Then they just ran around and played in the playroom.

@Freckles: yes! We always take the day off and do something as a family on the day of.

It's our first year in our new house and we haven't had any housewarming party or anything, so we'll have a big bbq / pool party for T's 4th bday in May at our house. Hoping that the weather cooperates!!! It won't be on his actual birthday (which falls on a Wednesday). We'll do it the following Saturday.

I think we had a family party at home that year for DD. I was trying to do the "big party every other year" thing. Sadly that has not worked since then! My DS had a bounce house party for 4 yr.

Her 4th isn't until Dec but I want to throw her first "friends" party instead of just family. I'm thinking of doing a skating party.

My daughter had a ballerina party at four, it was at home but bigger then I meant it to be. DS#1 turned four yesterday, and we are going to Disney in a few weeks so that's his party/present. We are taking him to be turned into a pirate!

We had a largish party with our friends and LO's friends from school at our house. We rented a bounce house, had a cookie decorating area and just free play.

@regberadaisy: Closet aquarium is like 2.5 hours. Boo. I just know I'm going to end up with a bounce house in my backyard.
