I have excellent self control for online spending. However, in-store spending is a whole other story and one of the reasons I don't go shopping very often.

I go through phases. If I'm in a shopping phase, I usually shop allthedeals. During a non-shopping phase, it's no biggie to me to delete my entire "promotions" folder in gmail!

I clicked on this thread because I HAD to know who had 80% off and free shipping!!! I did place and H&M order for DD--less than $40. It has to be a serious steal on something we need in order for me to go for it.

I've been spying a deal at Lands End for summer swim and finally the suit and shoes I wanted for C were on sale PLUS 30% off. It was a "need" in that she does need those things for summer, though I'm sure we could have settled for a Target purchase instead. I didn't even open any other emails. Just deleted them all. We do not NEED anything else.

My DH though, can NOT pass up a deal. He's subscribed to a deal alert website, it's dangerous.

It depends. Things like clothes and shoes are harder for me to pass up, because I feel like I could always use more. But things like appliances, furniture, or something I feel would add to clutter I can easily pass up.

I might have spent some money at Gymboree this weekend.....and Michaels! Finally got frames for DD#2's gallery wall...5 frames for $33....not too shabby in my opinion! Oh and a storage bench for DD#1's room from PBK......on clearance and then additional 15% off.....
Ok, I did some damage! Lol!

I bought new sandals and summer tops for myself (the Tannery and LOFT), sneakers for DH (Vans) and bathing suits and sneakers (Gap, Hanna Anderson and Vans) for DS.
