We finally have started laying sod in our backyard. My goal is to have a beautiful landscaped backyard by the time her first birthday comes around (in 3 months). We have set aside an area for a swing set and will hopefully have lots of grass for her to play on!

Yay! We've been working on our yard for a couple years now. The first step was to fence it in and now we need a swing set!

hurrayyyy!!! that's the thing I'm looking most forward to when we eventually move... I cannot wait to have a backyard for the doggies and kids!!!! Driving to parks is fine but it'll be so great when I can just open the doors and let them out there while I'm cooking dinner or can just sit on the patio with a lemonade and a magazine!!!!!

That's so exciting!! Are you putting in irrigation so you don't have to water manually all the time? That's one thing we sorely regret not doing with this house.

We are also constantly working on our yards. Both front and back are fenced, but there is a constant need for upkeep just to keep it safe for babies. Right now we just put in a garden in the back yard and pulled out a bunch of ground cover to garden in the front yard... and then all that needs to be fenced to keep curious babies out!
Isn't it nice to know you'll have a great place for the baby to play?
