@whatsarahsaid: Im so excited for you! I bought the same opk to try since its our first month and im clueless. Do you use FMU?
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@whatsarahsaid: @dc yoga bee: I have that one too. Funny story, I had just the regular one and I accidentally dropped it in the toilet. True Story. So, my husband went to the store to buy another one and he bought this one. First time I used it I got the solid smiley, so I didn't get to see the flashy one. But I'm looking forward to using it next cycle, if needed.

@dc yoga bee: That's what the instructions say but I am a total freak and take 2 tests a day one with FMU and one when I get home from work! LOL! Can you say neurotic!

@littlek: I'm so excited to try it because I've only used a target brand before just for fun to see if i was ovulating and never got a positive. So, I've been worried ever since!

Ack...all of a sudden I just got this overwhelming positive feeling about this month's (November) cycle! I don't know why but I am feeling really good about it. Maybe it's the potential of a "normal" O date or maybe it's something else but I'm actually feeling excited. Haven't felt that way about TTC in a LONG time! Sorry - just had to share.
Although - ask me again in a couple days and I could be feeling totally different. But today at least....I'm feeling positive!

@whatsarahsaid: Girl, take advantage of those days when you have them! I get them randomly too - and it helps balance out all the days when you're frustrated!

@whatsarahsaid: yayyyyyy for feeling positive! Enjoy that, lady. And I so hope that you are right!

Am I the only one that's super curious as to what everyone looks like? I feel like I spend so much time talking to y'all, I have these looks in my head, but I'm sure I'm totally wrong!

@Littlebit: thanks! Yea, I had no idea what brindle coloring was until we started looking at dogs. It's so pretty.
Loving all the cute pet pics everybody!

@whatsarahsaid: Congrats on an early O! I feel like many people are extra excited about this month's POAS, and personally I love the positive vibes, thanks for sharing them and FX for you!
@Littlebit: you're not the only one, I'm curious too!

@AlmostMrsG: congrats on your upcoming wedding -- how exciting!!
@whatsarahsaid: Glad you are excited! This is going to be a great month!!
We have a little beagle/Boston Terrier mix who keeps us entertained. She's definitely our first baby.
Eta sorry for the huge pic. We dressed her up for last years christmas cards (she was Santa and my parents dog was a reindeer). For Halloween this year she's a dragon and we want my parents dog to be a princess (he's a 95 lb lab btw).

@Littlebit: Interesting... maybe as a question, I should have asked what celebrity we think we look like..

@ABCmrs: oooh, that is a good one, I too am totally looking forward to having a fire in our fireplace! If only DH would get around to caulking our new fireplace doors!
@AlmostMrsG: Yay, congrats on your upcoming wedding!
@littlek: boo, sorry to hear about the temp drop.
@whatsarahsaid: FX for early O date! And hooray for positive feelings, I need to convince myself to be positive for once!
Everyone's pets are so adorable! We have kitties, even though neither of us are cat people. But they were good pets to have when we weren't home 12 hours a day. Once we have kids we'll get a dog. I'm a huge dog person, and would really love to have anything in the lab/golden family!

@Sprite: It's okay. I'm new to this charting and OPK things and I think we didn't time BD well.. so I definitely have a game plan for November. The good thing is it's a slow time for work for my husband so he will have no excuse to not BD.

@sprite @NorCalWayfarer @ littlek @doxielove @RLCeigh Thanks so much ladies!
I love all of the fur baby postings. We lost our pit bull in July and our shepherd a couple of weeks ago, both due to old age so we are a petless household at the moment. BUT lots to look forward to in the next months - wedding (as I mentioned) and fingers crossed for a holiday !

Maybe TMI, but have any of you tried with success using mucinex or robitussin (plain kind) to increase cm? Dr. Google says it works!

I just love all of the cute fur baby pictures! I never used to be an animal person but my husband insisted we get a dog and now I am totally smitten.
@whatsarahsaid: Hurray for the positive opk! I agree, roll with the positive feelings! Sometimes a funny feeling of good news is exactly what we need!
@RLCeigh: That home run story is hilarious! Whereabouts in PA are you headed? My husband and I are both from south central PA (but live in MI now.)
@dc yoga bee: I just took some this morning half for the cm reason and half because I was congested (like not congested enough to take it normally but this time of the month I figured I may as well.) I will keep you posted. My challenge now is to drink tons of water-- but since I am still waiting for a positive opk makes me nervous since I don't want it too diluted. Goodness, this is all a lot more complicated than our high school health teacher suggested!

@dc yoga bee: I never took it for TTC purposes, but I had a cold in early October and did take some. Other than during apregnancy, I've never had as much CM as I did then! It was surprising.

I'm so glad Amazon exists... I just got our list of subscribe and save this month and it's pretty awesome.. it includes OPK tests, pregnancy tests, and pre seed... I think we are ready for round 2

@whatsarahsaid: late ovulation is the worst, hoping that full smiley is here soon!!!

@dc yoga bee: I've done it lots of cycles, I do think it works. it thins it out which is theoretically good and gets you more EWCM sooner? can't hurt anyway, just drink lots of water too.
bananas / 9229 posts
@littlek: This is a dumb question but how does subscribe and save work? Can you cancel after just one shipment?
@dc yoga bee: I haven't. I'm fine with adding other things but medication isn't one of them.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@LindsayInNY: You can but I LOVE it. Between working and taking care of LO, I don't get a chance to get to the store. I find the prices much cheaper relating to household items. I believe if you order 5 items or more you get 20% off your order. We are prime so it's free shipping and it comes in two days. Can you tell I LOVE amazon!

So, I'm not even sure if I ovulated this cycle and just went on an emotional roller coaster ride at the doctor...
Last night I found myself with symptoms of my very first UTI. I went to the doc this afternoon and she has me pee in a cup to check for infection. Of course she has to do a pregnancy test too, even though I already told her we were TTC and exactly what's going on with my cycle. So she dips the test strip, looks at it for a minute and goes, "I think I need to dip another one of these. This ... could be positive."
Needless to say my heart almost exploded out of my chest even though I KNEW, logically, that it would not be true. Sure enough, second one was a definite negative. Only positive test was the UTI one -- great! I love my doc buuuut kinda wanted to slap her.
So, already one BFN for the month, but this one doesn't count!!

I'm going to go ahead and join this month! First month actively trying, and I'm already anxious... it's going to be a LONG month!
Estimated O Date: October 31st? I've never really done much tracking, so I'm using an online app... no idea how accurate it's going to be
POAS/AF Date: November 19th
Cycle: NTNP for 4 months, this is the first month I'm really serious about TTC
Trying new this cycle: Um, more sex? Haha
What are you looking forward to this month: Starting to plan DD's 1st birthday!! It's not until January, but with holidays and SOO much travel coming up I want to get started on some fun projects
Alright, I'm going to get started catching up on page 1! A pop out reply feature would be seriously amazing...
