@dc yoga bee: Oooh! Keeping my fingers crossed AF stays far, far away!
@MrsScottish: I totally get it, I feel like part of it for me is the fact that people tell you it is supposed to be fun and easy. But at the same time there is something big on the line and it causes worry. Plus, if it is so fun and easy why on earth would it not happen the second I want it to? Also, at least for us, we didn't start trying until we were ready for a baby, which means we would like one now, not whenever it feels like showing up!
The waiting is killing me, right now I am on cycle day 7 so it is still a bit too early to start peeing on opks, I think we are going to attempt smep again so I guess the fun starts tomorrow!

Congrats to all the BFP mama's out there!!!!
I am going to start taking my Clomid tonight even though it is only CD4 for me. My cycle starts at such strange times since I work overnight 3 days a week so I feel like I don't want to "miss" something if I wait until tomorrow night. Am I crazy? I know some ladies take it starting CD3 so I hope I'm not messing anything up. Any ladies have any advice?

@MrsScottish: I am definitely not a patient person when it comes to events happening and I am very much a " Lets-get-organized-and-plan-every-detail-that-may-or-may-not-happen" type of lady. DH is a "Let's-not-worry-about-things-until-they-are-things-to-worry-about" kind of guy. Drives me crazy because in my lizard brain I am already planning out 5 steps ahead. I guess he keeps me in check though? All I know is that we are moving next week and I am already trying to decide which room will be the nursery HA. I need to take it easy lol

@MRS.PANDA: What day did your doctor say to start it? I would be very reluctant to deviating from his/her instructions. Especially one something like Clomid...

@FaithFertility: Are you seeing into the future?! I'm hoping to O next week, if all is "normal" (hah!) again! We'll be on vacation so hopefully that helps... And, btw, huge congrats!!!!

@LindsayInNY: Thank you :)) I'm. Super excited but you know all to well I'm still nervous based on last time, but they said levles are good.....
and I do have a nack for knowing when people are PG, I had a dream 2 weeks before my BF found out and that was something they were not planning for!!!!
Best of luck to you

@cmbknyc: I definitely had the thought that if I got to name the December POAS thread, I would call it "All I want for Christmas is a BFP!" Great minds think alike
nectarine / 2358 posts
@LindsayInNY: She said to start it on CD5 but my situation is a little odd. Since I got my period on a night I was working, I slept all day and woke up at around 5pm. I go into work by 7pm and work until 7:30am. The had a very light/spotting flow when I woke up at 5pm and had a full flow by midnight. So you see why I'm a little hesitant about what day to consider my CD1 as it really kind of goes into 2 days, but it was kind of like it was that first day when I woke up. Does that make sense?

Bummed. After putting in my temp from this AM, FF tells me that I O'd back on CD11 - which was WAY before DH and I had started putting in any effort this month. Blah

@Keppa: Boo. That stinks, last month I ovulated early and it was really disappointing. The good news is it only takes one little sperm so fingers crossed one was hanging out!
blogger / apricot / 427 posts
@Cole: yeah it's definitely disappointing. I'm still kind of hanging onto hope that because my temps have been kind of all over the place, maybe my chart is wrong and it hasn't happened yet? Wishful thinking!
nectarine / 2358 posts
@Keppa: That stinks but @Cole is definitely right it just takes one! But maybe your temps are just all over the place. Mine are because of my work schedule and the fact I'm a frequent waker too

@mrssctottish: totally agree with everyone else! It's hard to be relaxed about ttc when having a baby is such a big decision especially if you have been really responsible and waited until you knew it was the right time or one. By the time I started trying I had already wanted one for a good couple of years! DH is older and has wanted a baby for even longer but I just don't think men understand about timing very much.
This is my fourth month trying and been a bit frustrating because I normally O dead on cd16 but night shifts have messed me up again and it looks like I might o cd20/21. Then to make matters worse I told my friend who is on her first month ttc #2 after getting lucky first try with #1. She actually said maybe the change in o date might do me good and when she was trying for her first (for all of 1 month) it never crossed her mind to figure out all that stuff and just to have fun trying!! Urgh, seriously how can having hormones messed up by working nights be good and yeah... We had lots of fun in our first month too!
So glad I have HB to vent on and all these lovely BFPs this month to get excited about!

@Mrs.Panda: Hmm . That makes sense. What if you consider a specific time your "start" time? Similar to what you'd do if you were traveling time zones. When I went on my honeymoon, I had to take my BC at what would be the normal time at home. So maybe consider 9am or something that "start" of your day, whether you work or not?

@Snowdrop: it's hard to deal with people who think it's easy!!
if it's any consolation I got pregnant with LO on a cycle where I o'd late, though I totally understand the stress involved!
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@LindsayInNY: @Mrs.Panda: I think you can definitely shift a few hours for the clomid if your days tend to be shifted too. after all, I am prescribed it for CD3-7 but it's not like they tell me I have to take it at 9am vs 5pm. I think as long as you are generally close it would be fine.

No big update from me, but AF has finally left the building and I am so excited! Can't wait to start trying again. If the MC didn't mess anything up in regards to when I ovulate it should happen the day after thanksgiving. The BD mania will start this weekend.
BTW, I had to explain what 'BD' stood for to a friend. She thought it was hysterical!

16DPO BFN with FMU, no AF. Fertility Friend says AF was due yesterday. No cramps or sore bbs to let me know AF is on her way. Maybe change in weather is delaying it. I mean not even a hint of a,second line no matter how hard I will it. If I was pregnant, even with a 12 day late implantation it should start showing up as a faint line by now!
bananas / 9229 posts
@dc yoga bee: Do you know how long your LP is usually? I can't remember - were you temping or using OPKs to confirm O? It's possible that things are delayed because of stress too?
grapefruit / 4770 posts
This is the first month using opk, and I got the smiley on cd 9,and a lot of cm on cd 10, so I was going with O on CD 10. I don't temp so I have no clue how long LP usually is. Surprisingly I'm not stressed. My caseload is surprisingly light right now, I've veen going to yoga (even had time to go this am before work!)

@littlek: thanks for asking! AF arrived today, but oddly, my temp went up this morning too, it was below cover line yesterday, so I knew AF was coming, and I expected it to go lower still today....weird. I have a prescription from my dr to start Clovis next cycle, and I'm calling the acupuncture clinic to see about that this cycle too. On to December, hopefully it's magical!
pear / 1846 posts
@bhbee: that is good to know
@dcyogabee: waiting is the worst! But that does seem an unusually long lp was it definitely a strong positive on the opk? My first month off bcp I thought I was going to o as had a strongish line then it disappeared again until I actually did o a week or so later. I think my body tried to o then failed. Did you have other symptoms to confirm?

@ABCmrs: haha it's perfect right! I know my TWW will be filled with humming that tune

@dc yoga bee: you don't have to temp to know how long your LP is. How long are your cycles normally?

On CD 09 and CD 10 only I had watery CM and cramps. Intense cramping! !!! No more cramps sense CD 10. Cycles are 26-28 days (more so 26 and 27). Today is CD 26.
ETA: I used clearblue digital opk and went from low fertility straight to peak smiley on,CD 09. No previous birth control.

@dc yoga bee: Okay so you still technically have 2 days for AF to arrive! A 10 day FP and 16-18 day LP seems a bit off but who knows, LOL!

@dc yoga bee: I have a 12 day FP and 17 day LP.. so not terribly different than yours.

I am not sure what's going to happen with me! My temps are very high, and I actually had a dip at CD7. Today, I'm 11dpo. I have cramping like when I got my bfp, as well as sore chest and lower back pain. Usually my brain is great at creating symptoms, but these are definitely real. I also have been feeling like I took a killer ab class all week. BFN this morning tho. Not sure where my body is at!
For background, I did Clomid this cycle, got three mature follicles, which is more than I've ever had. We did not do a trigger shot, but did do iui 2 days before I O'd. At this point, I have no idea what to think! If I'm not pregnant, maybe having so many follicles produced more hormones, which is creating my symptoms?
