@Mrs. Jump Rope: My husband got his dream job that he couldn't say no to. It's been a tough transition for me and if he told me today that we had to move back to Boston I would start packing this very second without a tear shed!
BTW - I'm horrible at seeing lines but it sounds like you need to get a FRER ASAP!

Because, I'm a dork, and was researching the odds. More babies conceived in November than any other month according to CDC!

@dc yoga bee: That's fabulous news!!! I love looking at the numbers for stuff like that!

@dc yoga bee: That is awesome, thanks for sharing that! Hopefully this month we can make up for the disappointing low number of BFPs in October!

I just got what I think is a pretty clear positive on a cheapie opk but the Clear Blue Digital that I used to confirm says no. Anyone have something similar happen? I guess the easy answer is bd anyway but the ocd side of me wants everything to line up nicely!
kiwi / 693 posts
@Cole: I'd say do another OPK test in a few hours! I've gotten that before where I'm sure it is a + on a wondfo, but when confirming with the digital it says no. Usually I'll try again in 3-4 hours and double confirm with the digital and then it gives me the smiley face. I've got a super short LH surge though, so I usually use OPKs 3 times a day to catch it when I suspect O is just around the corner.
ETA: also, yes, get to the BD'ing just in case! But that is always my answer to everything, and we end up BD'ing for like a week straight every month, just to cover our bases.

Loved the fur baby pics, can't figure out how to post one of my little dog, she is a special needs doggy as she is deaf bless her. Was wondering if anyone else is from England? I live in one of the saddleworth villages in the pennines north of Manchester... Lots of lovely fresh air!

I'm WI born and NH raised. Lived in Boston for a couple years (Go Sox!) but have been in the NYC-area for the past 5 years now

@mrs. Jump rope: !!!!!!!!!!
I am from Cleveland originally and living in Chicago now. We have a 55 pound black labradoodle who is the greatest (not that I am biased or anything...)
Anyone have tips for keeping the specifically timed BDing more light and relaxed (and less "it is CD ten, get on me now, we are starting the SMEP")?
blogger / coconut / 8306 posts
@Mrs. Confetti: I took the "she's sleeping, do me now!" approach.
blogger / pomegranate / 3491 posts
@Mrs. Jump Rope: hahahaha I like it. We have a sick kiddo who isn't sleeping and we are both exhausted so I am wondering if either of us will ever feel in the mood ever again - blahhh stupid hand foot and mouth.

@LindsayInNY: I know right?!??! This is our first month not nTNP - like actually "trying" and Mr. C was telling me about how his newlywed colleague was complaining that TTC sex is not fun at all, and he agreed. I just don't want to become annoying in month one...cuz what if it is month 1 of maaaany like for our first?
grapefruit / 4770 posts
We are a 2x a month couple, so I still haven't figured out how we are going,to do the SMEP! A date night perhaps? Cook dinner together, play some board games? But being real, who has time for all of that after work! ?!
kiwi / 693 posts
@Mrs. Confetti: I agree with @LindsayInNY: what is this concept of relaxed that you speak of??
kiwi / 693 posts
@dc yoga bee: A'int nobody got time for that!
Seriously, it's a chore at this point. Although my husband is crazy and would BD everyday of the month if I let him. Usually we schedule it when the Daily Show guest is on though. I can deal with a 10 minute window of time, I don't have all night when I just want to go to sleep! A quickie as a means to an end is so much easier than a drawn out night of romance. TTC has really sucked the romantic out of me, apparently!
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@Sprite: Annnd I just spit out my tea I'm laughing so hard. Those guest interviews are pretty meh most of the time! I love the 10 min window of time! DH said we should just do it every single day and we will be good. Yeah right! I told him to just initiate before bed every other day, but I do need to step my game up a bit.

@Snowdrop: gah! she is so sweet!!
@Mrs. Confetti: LOLz. I agree with @LindsayInNY, there is no relaxed at my house. We both hate having to BD on a schedule, but it can't really be helped. Though I should probably try to make it a little more exciting besides saying 'I'm ovulating. Let's do this.'
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@Littlebit: my dh doesn't want to know when I'm ovulating, and I'm like well why else would I be interested in increased frequency at key times of the month silly!
nectarine / 2932 posts
@Sprite: Hahahahaha!!! That's awesome. My husband annoys the crap out of me about BDing..when I'm gearing up to O he could care less...but the week after O he's suddenly ALL about it!
nectarine / 2932 posts
@dc yoga bee: EXACTLY! My husband also says he doesn't want to know, but I'm never the instigator when it comes to sex, so isn't he going to know something's up, whether I say it or not, when I'm all of a sudden trying to jump his bones??
Men.
kiwi / 693 posts
@dc yoga bee: @Littlebit: Same, here, DH doesn't want to know when the timing is urgent. Uh, ok...so I guess we start every day on CD10 and go for a week, to keep him guessing! How is that not obvious though? Although guys are good at ignoring things they don't want to deal with.
Of course then he complains that I "never tell him anything" when it comes to side effects of Clomid and whatnot. Dude said he didn't want to know!
blogger / persimmon / 1225 posts
@Sprite: Wow, I'm impressed with your hubby! TTC has definitely made our sexy time a lot less romantic as well. And my hubby definitely needs some time to recharge/regroup, haha. Since FF and I can't agree on when I O'd I think we'll just have to go every other day from here on out.
blogger / pomegranate / 3491 posts
@littlek: you just made me laugh out loud - perhaps that is a good plan to start with
kiwi / 693 posts
@princessandthebee: I've been looking at your chart the past few days and wondering what is up! Hopefully you and FF come come to an agreement soon
kiwi / 693 posts
@Mrs. Confetti: @littlek: I like this!
"No pressure honey, I'm just laying here naked...."
kiwi / 536 posts
@dc yoga bee: I wondered about SMEP too! It seems like a great idea in theory but we honestly could not keep up... with his work schedule it just wouldn't happen!
bananas / 9229 posts
@Mrs. Confetti: DH was "complaining" about BDing X out of Y days. To be fair, it was a bit much but still, LOL!
@dc yoga bee: After work it's forced to some extent. Either we BD before dinner or just before bed. It's not 100% romantic all the time either. Such is life!
Luckily, DH and I talk enough about when it's "go time". He knows when we're approaching it, when I'm in the TWW, etc.
blogger / persimmon / 1225 posts
@Sprite: Yea, seriously, isn't it bizarre?? I never O as early as Day 10, the earliest I have ever O'd is Day 14 and that was back in May/June, my first cycle off the nuvaring. I'm all ears if you have any opinions based on my chart! I'm so confused why FF didn't change it after my dip this morning! I guess I'm still getting used to the app.
@LindsayInNY: We totally talk about when I'm ovulating and when I'm in the TWW, etc. I'll text him during the day to remind him it's BD time later that night, haha.
