@Sprite: haha I like this daily show plan (except I am never awake then). I would say we usually have 1-2 BDs in the "window" that I'm really into and the rest are just quickies . . . DH has accepted it at this point and really it's not so bad for him . . . I made him BD with a head cold last night though, and I once made him do it with a migraine (and it didn't even work of course), so it's not always great for him either.
it just sucks . . . try to laugh about it is my plan. also I try to limit it - don't start too early. I usually start CD14 because I ovulate between CD16-20 most months now.
honestly though . . . I'm always relieved when the fertile week is over!!!

AF showed up today 3 days early...boooooo!
So it looks like I'll be cheering everyone else on this month

@princessandthebee: That's odd that FF hasn't changed it... FF seems to be using your CM only to determine cross-hairs. Have you tried discarding the temp from CD8 to see if that changes anything?
kiwi / 693 posts
@princessandthebee: FF can sometimes be slow to catch up with things, like how it won't give you crosshairs until after 3 days of high temps. With today's temp dip though, maybe you'll have a true temp spike tomorrow, which would be more in line with your regular O date? It's annoying, but the program can only tell you what happened after the fact, not really predict what is happening now! I second @LindsayInNY: maybe you should try discarding that one temp to see what happens?
@bhbee: Laughing about it is a good plan! And I hear ya on being relieved after O! I'm sooo glad my DH went out of town on O day, so I can wear sweats and go to bed with no pressure all week!
@sandy: boo, I'm sorry

@LindsayInNY: @Sprite: thanks for the help ladies!! I discarded the temp on Day 8 but no change! We'll see what tomorrow brings and hoping it spikes high like I normally do around this time. It's such a thrill to take your temperature every morning, such a surprise, I feel like I can never predict it! haha
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@sandy: do you have time for a 2nd chance to POAS? I was going to label that "thanksgiving leftovers"
bananas / 9229 posts
@princessandthebee: How frustrating! You're right though, there's a bit of thrill with temping every morning!
@littlek: Haha, I like that term!!
kiwi / 693 posts
@princessandthebee: So annoying it didn't change anything. Oh well, hopefully tomorrow you'll get your big spike! And yes, it is fun to see what the temps do every morning. Unless you're like me and can't resist looking at the thermometer right then, and then it takes me like an hour to go back to sleep. Especially during the TWW, I get so sleep deprived thinking about my temps at 5am!

@Sprite: sometimes I turn on pandora to add to the mood..
Have you guys watched the Sleepy Hollow miniseries? The actor that plays Ichabod Crane has the sexiest accent... Helps get me in the mood
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@sandy: booo. Sorry to hear that.
It's "only" CD 5, but I'm already thinking we should bd tonight when DH gets back in town just in case! I was reading cases of people getting BFP and they ovulated on cd 7 :o. I don't know how thats possible! ?!
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@littlek: I was thinking CD 5, and then pick up SMEP on CD 8. It would be a freebie day for dh lol. Because that doesn't sound like a lady of the night!
bananas / 9229 posts
@dc yoga bee: If you start at CD5, you're definitely going to tire out! AF is still in town by then, LOL!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@dc yoga bee: I recall reading somewhere that eggs that drop too early are not mature and whatnot. Clearly I'm not a doctor and can't explain this well.
ETA: But I'm all for sex just for fun!

@LindsayInNY: luckily I've always had a 3 day AF! I hear this will,change when I turn 30 probably!
bananas / 9229 posts
@dc yoga bee: Jealous! I've been anywhere from 5-7 days - as a teenager, on BC, and, yes, now at 30. I don't think age has anything to do with it...

This thread is hilarious! My husband suggested I start buying Cosmo magazine again-- I suspect that was his hint that things are becoming a bit forced. @Sprite: Your Daily Show plan makes me want to reconsider my no tv in the bedroom policy! I always thought it would reduce time spent bd not increase it.
@sandy: I hope you get another shot for November! Sorry about af.

So I'm 12dpo on Sunday 11/3 when we're planning to test. But I guess I need to be placed on the 11/5 list "officially"
I'm trying so hard not to get my hopes up too much. All in God's perfect timing! But it's still exciting to follow what's going on with everyone, too!
Something that DH and I started doing is that since he likes to stay up later than I normally do, he just "snuggles" up to me when he comes to bed. That way I can go to bed when I'm tired (lest he deal with my crankiness!) and he can, well, you know! We were able to BD all five days prior to O and on O day. PRAYING FOR BFPs!!
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
@littlek: good point! I was so bummed that I didn't look ahead...November is a long month so I think I could have another POAS day on the 26th
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@organicmama: wait, so sex while you're sleep! ?! How do you not wake uo if you don't mind me asking!
cherry / 230 posts
@dc yoga bee: Haha!! Oh, I wake up! Just not for very long. It's quick and lazy. LOL!!
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@littlek: Please add me to November 6th. I am trying not to get my hopes up this month and I'm trying not to symptom spot, so I'll probably be very quiet about my TWW.
Good luck to all!
Estimated O Date: Oct 23rd
POAS/AF date: Nov 6th
Cycle: 16
Chart: no
Trying new this cycle: Took a 6 month break and now back to TTC again. If this doesn't work, I'm going back to one more IUI in November then it's off to IVF in January. Oh, first time, i'm going to refrain from POAS and just waiting on AF. I get my hopes up by the constant symptom spotting and POAS.
What are you looking forward to this month (not TTC related): Getting an infertility tattoo on my wrist.

Whoa this thread is jumping today love these getting to know you questions! Probably don't need to spell it out since my username has it covered but I love in NYC, lol I've moved about 20 times in the last 32 years but I'm originally from Costa Rica
@Mrs. Jump Rope: those are definitely lines!!!! FX and go get a FRER
@littlek: thanks! Our little fur ball is SPOILED! Also "wine helps too" you made me LOL bec that is usually my action plan!
grapefruit / 4311 posts
@Mrs. Jump Rope: woman, don't you know I'm trying so hard not to be a early tester, and we are POAS buddies, so you are really influencing me to start testing!! :P. FX for you!
nectarine / 2134 posts
@dc yoga bee: I would think 5DPO would be "just for fun" Are you using OPKs? Or been charting your cycle to have a better idea of when you normally O?
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@sandy: I will probably be POAS buddies with you. AF is supposed to show tomorrow or Friday.
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@bluestriped bee: I've been following your journey in a totally non internet stalker way, and I just wanted to let you know that I'm pulling for you!!!
@NorCalWayfarer: I've just kept track of when my cycle starts for the past 27 months so I'm never caught out there not knowing! I don't chart my temps. This will be my first month using opks. I tried using opks once before when my friend started ttc to show her that the test do work, and never got a positive

hi, ladies! i love this thread - so i'm returning to hellobee after a semi-hiatus to cheer you on! i am in the process of miscarrying (a missed miscarriage) and usually have long cycles anyway, so i probably won't get to POAS in november. BUT - i can wave a mean pompom! here's to tons of november BFPs!!

Ok so I'm pretty sure that my ovaries dusted off the cobwebs and dropped an egg for the first time since March of 2012. I've had lots of Ewcm, a high (previously immobile) cervix, and woman-part cramps that woke me up last night.
POAS Nov 10th
Good luck to everyone!!!!
