@runnerd: thank you. This is sooo helpful. My test today looks like your 11.2 test. I don't feel as nervous now.
How are you feeling?
honeydew / 7295 posts
@Mrs. Jump Rope: congrats honey! Like runnerd posted there is a very gradual increase. My lines stayed really light for a few days. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Baby dust and best wishes!!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: congrats my lines didn't get dark til 11 or 12dpo and I 29w 1day today so no worries sending you sticky baby dust

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I was thinking about the math with the frer, they detect levels as low as 6.2 and numbers double every 48 hours. So if you were at 6.5 yesterday, today you would only be at 9 and change. Tomorrow you would be at 13 which is still too low to even be picked up by a lot of tests. So my logic is light lines still make sense.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: congrats! I got my first positive at 10dpo and it was so light! I tested again on 11dpo and it was even lighter than the previous day. Everything turned out well in the end but it was kind of scary!
blogger / coconut / 8306 posts
@Cole: papa jumper read this & was like "why do you lose all logic when we are trying?!" To be fair, he didn't consider this either
Obviously this makes perfect sense. I'll be buying more tests & once it's darker (I'm betting Sunday it will be!) I'll schedule my betas.

@MRs. Jump Rope- Congrats Mrs. Jump rope! So exciting!!!
My DH peer pressured me this morning to test with a First response. I tried to explain to him that it was to early (8 days out from expected period,) but I have been feeling so off. It was negative. I think I am trying to convince myself that I am not, that I am just crazy so that I am not disappointed, but seriously if I am not then something is up with me! I have never felt this way! I have had cysts, a iud that attached to my uterus, gluten allergies, Gi issues, and nothing is even similar to how I feel. I can no longer sit any tighter then 90 degrees, sitting in the fetal position hurts, it is just to much pressure down there. I am constantly cramps and bloated, exhausted, cranky, emotional, super sonic smells. I gagged at the smell of chocolate yesterday! Seriously! Coffee- no way! my DH cooked chicken and I gagged!
I really just want Af to come, or 2 lines so that I can get off the crazy train express!!! Then I either go to the doc to figure out what is wrong with me, or I go to the doc cause I am preg!
I convinced myself not to test till the weekend, but tested today. My next goal is next week sometime. I want to just relax and enjoy it! But I feel so crappy and off!

@MrsScottish: Your body could have HCG but it is too low to show in U or even FMU......I felt awful a couple months agi after my first IUI I had poek in the crock pot fkr pulled pork which I love, and tbe smell woke me up at 2 am I was dry heaving, DH had to open windows and such.....lol.I was PG but sadly it eneded early c/p but...I had symptoms early..... good luck!
blogger / coconut / 8306 posts
@MrsScottish: that's how I've felt all week! I convinced myself it was progesterone side effects, and it very well could have been, but coffee is making me gag, I'm smelling everything (the laundry detergent aisle at target almost made me throw up) and
You're not out yet, and I think it sounds promising!!
persimmon / 1259 posts
Well, AF has not arrived yet (due Monday or Tuesday), but I think I'm definitely out, despite my ridiculous symptoms. I had tinges of brown spotting yesterday and my temp dipped below coverline this morning. I even tested yesterday morning (10dpo), before the spotting, to see if I had something to be extra thankful for, but it was stark white negative. Here's to hoping my appt. with the RE on December 20th will bring some answers and hopes for TTC going into 2014. Good luck everyone!

Has anyone every heard this?
"hCG levels are also higher in women carrying a female fetus when compared to women carrying a male fetus, so it is possible that the pregnancy test becomes positive later in women carrying a male fetus - See more at: http://www.babymed.com/hcg-numbers-in-early-pregnancy#sthash.KcCXtnog.dpuf"

@MrsScottish: that would make sense in my case. I tested at 14 dpo and my line was very faint. I had been charting so I know my ovulation couldn't have been that off

My temp usually drops 11dpo which is Monday. Can't believe I am actually wishing for Monday morning even though I have no reason (other than good timing) to expect good news. The crazy things ttc does to you!
grapefruit / 4649 posts
I am so confused. I would have sworn that I ovulated on Thanksgiving. I had cramping (which I always have but this month I had on both sides) and it ended that day. Positive opk the day before and then by late in the day all cm dried up. The problem is my temperature is still low. I did take it about 40 minutes early this morning but that hasn't made a significant difference in the past.
I read online that some people don't get a shift until three days later, and I keep reading that it is possible for your body to gear up to release an egg but never do it. Any thoughts as to what is going on?

Estimated O Date: 12/10
POAS/AF date: 12/24
Cycle: 7
Chart: nope
Trying new this cycle: More BDing.
What do you want for the holidays besides a BFP: relaxation
pear / 1974 posts
@Cole: i think if your opk indicated you had an LH surge, you probably did ovulate, but you are right, your body can gear up to O, have an LH surge but never release an egg. I'd say keep temping and see what happens - your progesterone might just be slow to rise this cycle and that's what is keeping your temp from rising.
I think i'm ready to join the thread! I have had irregular cycles in the past so i don't like to join until i'm pretty sure O is imminent or i've o'd already.
Estimated O Date: Today, 11/30 - probably.
POAS/AF date: 12/14, 14 dpo
Cycle: stopped counting after my miscarriage - i'd guess like, 6 or 7? i've been ttc since 2012 but on and off - more off than on.
Chart: not this month
Trying new this cycle: more BD - i am seriously so tired. please let this marathon end.
What do you want for the holidays besides a BFP: i would LOVE to adopt another chichi for christmas!!

Trying new this cycle: NOT TESTING EARLY! Hopefully
What do you want for the holidays besides a BFP: To buy our first house! We're looking!
Did loads better on not obsessing this past month, but still tested early and bummed myself out with bfn's. I knew it was a bad month, since DH was out of town right in the critical O window. So more bd-ing, and less testing this time. I'm counting on ya'll for support when I get tempted!
grapefruit / 4649 posts
@Torchwood: I hear you on the no early testing, it is so stressful. I gave myself a preplanned cheat day, I will test at 10dpo but then not again until 13 if no signs of AF. I am hoping this plan helps with the crazies for me. Last month @chibee: kept trying to be the voice of reason but I was too swept up in it so this month I am hoping to keep calmer.
My chart is all wonky this month though so I am already feeling like it is a no go. I have also given up on next month and moved on to January. It would give a due date just a bit before my last father's birthday which would be special so I am trying to convince myself to look at the long term options!
pomelo / 5607 posts
@Cole: Always good to be able to find a positive! And my first BFP was a month that I thought there was NO hope (DH was working 90 hour weeks so we bd-ed once anywhere close to O), so there's always a chance. Good plan on having set test dates and no others allowed!

Thanks @littlek for hosting again this month! I know it's a lot of work, but you are so awesome at it. We appreciate you!
Estimated O Date: Still waiting Currently CD15
POAS/AF date: TBD
Cycle: 1
Chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/mrspanda
Trying new this cycle: Nothing new, still on our first cycle. We are doing Clomid, cheapie OPKs, Preseed, attempting SMEP, Mucinex, Pregnitude, J-Ho position, temping.
What do you want for the holidays besides a BFP: To not have to work on Christmas Eve/Christmas. But I really really want a BFP.
@MrsScottish: That is really interesting! I'm going to have to look into that.
