So I may be jumping the gun a little (or a lot) but I'm starting to think about what Prettybaby's 'big girl' room is going to look like. Right now we have a queen bed in that room as it is our guest room. Our plan was always to keep that same bed in there and just put rails on it that way if we had visitors they could borrow her bed and she could bunk in with us (or her someday sibling) during that time.
Now I'm thinking a Montessori style floor bed might be a better fit for us as my parenting style evolves, but I kind of want something a little more polished aesthetically, especially for guests. I'm thinking about modifying this Anna White bed frame plan so that there is something holding the bed in place and a headboard but still sitting on the ground. Do you think that defeats the purpose of a floor bed?
