@dc yoga bee: I find the monitor so helpful. You should do what I was gonna do originally and buy it but leave it in the package so you can return if need be. I bought mine used on eBay two years ago when were gonna try that January but got KU in December so it might be good luck. I actually had an unopened but expired thing of pressed, the monitor and a huge conception kit that were unopened and just gathered dust. I'm glad I have the monitor for #2 though because I can't temp with a toddler and my cycles have changed a bit post partum. I highly recommend it but yes you will need a few cycles so keep your OPKs too.
@sandy: I hope it's pregnancy spotting and not AF!
@septca: creamy cm can be good. I hope you just O a bit on the late side this month. FX
@Adira: oh man! I'm sorry your chart is a mess. I haven't even been able to temp consistently because I always seem to forget and I'm so sleep deprived. Hopefully those temps are screwed up and you are ovulating but I know the first few cycles can be annovulatory then fertility starts to increase. Have you seem the Kelly mom post about fertility and nursing? It's worth a look. Good luck!
@Mrs.Panda: what sweet photos!!!! You guys are gonnaake the most beautiful babies!
@bushelandapeck: lovely as always.
@Snowdrop: hahaha that's great!!!
I'll try to post so wedding photos later. Xxx

@MrsMccarthy: I'm hoping that happens to me - purchase and don't open and get KU :). Is there such a thing as pregnancy spotting? I'm being so optimistic but all the signs are here that AF will be here any day

@Crystal: i am in Portland Oregon!
@sandy: I hope so too! some people do spot during pregnancy. Is it typical of you to spot before AF?
So ladies i know there is no tmi but tmi anyway: it seemed like i had sticky cm but then i stuck my finger WAY up and swurled around a couple times and i got a seriously thick patch of EWCM. Would you also mark this day as EW of FF? also am i the only one who worries that i am compromising sperm from the night before or that i am taking away my best CM when i find it like this? I actually tried to jam it back up there like a fool. my cervix was very high soft and open too. What do you think ladies? CD15 today.

@MrsMccarthy: I do spot before AF. I never spotted during my first pregnancy
I picked up some digital OPKs. I looked at the package and it says to start using them CD5. Anyone have experience using these?

@MrsMccarthy: Sounds like you are hitting the sweet spot.
@sandy: I'm sorry. I spotted before AF before I had my lap, and seeing those spots was the very worst part of every cycle for me,

Happy Thursday, All! Doesn't it feel like it should be Friday?
I wrote out a whole bunch of personals and then I somehow deleted them all. BAH!!!
So here is a picture of my husband and I when we first started dated. Later that night, he told me that he loved me, which was only three weeks after we first met:

@Cole: and @littlek: since you both have a giant stash of POAS supplies, i feel like you should host POAS parties at your house!! I will bring champagne (for those of us who need to start a new cycle) and martinelli's (for those girls who get a positive). I think it would be fun!

Hey friends! So, after my long and drawn out miscarriage process, it looks like I am about to be back in action! Long story short, it seems like my body was holding onto some last parts of the original pregnancy. I had some serious bleeding/passing yesterday, and I haven't had any more bleeding since then. (My "first period" post MC had lasted 20 days as of yesterday.) And, I had my annual exam today (good timing!) and all looks perfect. Hope I'm gong to be able to join you pretty ladies again to POAS in February!

Does anyone feel O pains both sides? I should be Oing today and I have felt pains on both ovaries. The left one is stronger but cording to the radiologist I have a cyst on that side (not convinced he knew what he was talking about as he didn't even ask what CD) but I definitely feel it on my right too.

@sandy: @MrsMccarthy: I am in Southern California!
@HolisticMama: Awww! So cute!
@MrsMcD: That is an amazing idea!
@mfa_lady: That sound awful, I am so sorry. FX you get your sticky baby soon!
@Snowdrop: I feel random pains, but I have never paid attention to how that correlates with my cycle.
I am trying to start to track that and my symptoms during the TWW so I can compare.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@Snowdrop: Most women don't know this before they get to the intervention stage, but each month BOTH of your ovaries produce follicles. One follicle becomes dominant, and that is the follicle that drops the egg. Theoretically, the side that produces the dominant follicle should change every month. But both ovaries swell each cycle, which is why you could be feeling tenderness. Any type of growth (endo, cyst, etc.) will be aggravated by the swelling of the ovary, and in turn cause you pain.
persimmon / 1167 posts
@Snowdrop: I often experience that. I also experienced it when I had my dermoid tumor on my ovary. I would feel aches on my left side, despite having the tumor on the right side. The doctor said it was pretty common and even had a phrase for it, but I forget what it was. So I don't pay too much attention to exactly which sides the aches are coming from- just that they are there.

@Crystal: Last month I came across this site that helped people track symptoms. It was really neat and put everything in a chart. I will try to find it again. I didn't save it, because I thought, "Oh Lord. That will drive me bonkers." Haha.
Are you using a specific site to track?
Oh. I found an example: http://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/homepage/?u=116575
Seems to be free.

@Crystal: If you sign up for FF VIP, you can always see your symptoms tracker under your chart (with the unpaid version, you only see the tracker with your current chart - to look at symptoms from past charts, you have to go into each calendar day individually - total PITA). Comparing those charts used to be my TTC obsession.

Ladies, can I just cry for a second? I am feeling so down today. Work is super busy, but instead of being jazzed about it, I am just feeling overwhelmed. All I want to do is go home and get into bed with a glass of wine and a trashy novel. The thought of dealing with DD (which I normally love) and making dinner is just too much to bear right now. I know these depressive feelings are just a nasty combination of PMS and weaning-induced hormone fluxuations, but it's hard to rise above it. (These feelings pale in comparison to the depression I experienced on pp BCP, which is why we started our TTC journey early, but they are easy to recognize after so many months dealing with this darkness.) I just feel like I want to have a good cry and not be so needed for a night.
Whew. Okay. Shaking it off. It felt good to get that out.

@septca: You're welcome to let things off your chest at any time.
Can you get some to-go for dinner?

@Snowdrop: A Tarantino themed party? That sounds awesome!

Thank you all - I this thread.
@HolisticMama: LOL. I have been totally dialing it in with dinner lately, which I think is part of my problem. I know I feel better when I eat better. Tonight I have all the things ready to go to make a yummy chicken curry with spinach, tomatoes, red peppers, and brown basmati. It's super easy to put together, so I just have to *do* it. I know I will be happy I did. But there will be wine.
persimmon / 1167 posts
@septca: Sounds delicious! Have you been doing anything in the crock pot lately?
pear / 1846 posts
@MrsMcD: it really was, love the music from the sound tracks. I think that was my favourite party we have hosted.
@HolisticMama: @septca: I feel the follicles growing really early on it was just because I should be Oing round about now, normally it has moved to one side. Must be a combination of feeling that big follicle/cyst and what holistic mama said about the pain transferring hopefully.
@septca: sounds like a take out night to me. Look after yourself
ETA: @septca: just read about your curry and wine, enjoy and hope you feel better very soon.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@Snowdrop: That's awesome that YOU hosted the party. Is that your house in the background? I cannot figure out what the big open room is. A mega party room?
kiwi / 630 posts
@septca: (((HUGS))) that's supposed to be a bear hug lol. Have a HUGE glass or glasses of wine. Can your DH take over DD duties for tonight?
ETA: Dinner sounds amazing!!!!
pear / 1846 posts
@MrsMcD: it is yeah. It was just after the builders had left, (literally two hrs before that pic was taken) the room is an open plan kitchen/ diner leading to the living room but the kitchen wasn't finished yet and there is no furniture. It kind of is a party room too, we love hosting and tend to have lots of crazy all nighters haha. DH let me design the extension so I am very proud of it

So I did something kind of crazy and exciting today.
Remember how I'm reading that book "Wishes Fulfilled" which talks about believing and feeling that you are pregnant in order to manifest your dreams? (It's pretty amusing).
So today I ordered a gift for DH that I will eventually use to tell him that we are expecting. There is no date on it, so I can use it anytime.
When DH proposed to me- it was on the day we closed on our house and he gave me the ring on this keychain:
It says, "New House. New Life."
So today I ordered him this keychain that will say, "New Life. More to Love."
Fun! Thought it would be a nice distraction to get you through the last hours of your work day. LOL.
persimmon / 1167 posts
@Snowdrop: Thanks! I wasn't afraid to order it because I truly do believe we will be parents someday, whatever that path may look like...

@septca: aww I'm so sorry. I SO relate to those days. I hope you have something special planned for yourself tonight.
@mfa_lady: welcome back to the game! I hope you have a short journey that ends with a BFP!
@HolisticMama: what a sweet picture

@HolisticMama: I love that!!! Yes you will definitely use it one way or another you will be a mom!

@MrsMccarthy: I have no idea what to tell you about the cm but I did get a good laugh thinking of you trying to "jam it" back up there. lol. sorry
@septca: I'm sorry you're feeling so overwhelmed It can be so hard to take care of a LO when you aren't feeling yourself. @HolisticMama: That is so sweet! I'm sure your DH will love it.
