@septca: Sounds like the perfect way to spend the day. Good luck on the rest of the interview process!
@HolisticMama: I think the main concern is 24 hours apart. Plus, I agree that its better to "canvas the area" pre-O, then hope it catches up post-O. That's just my opinion! Sorry you have so many issues that seem to be fighting against each other, FX it works out.
@MrsMccarthy: @littlek: @bushelandapeck: Thanks for the well wishes! I am feeling hopeful about this cycle.
My official POAS date wont be til February, but I will be 8DPO on Jan 29th. Going with the early and often method, I think I will test starting that day, just to torture myself.

Argh, so confused! After my ovulation test yesterday that was super close to being a positive, today's test was even lighter, my temp is lower than yesterday, and there was a tiny bit of bright red spotting (although maybe that's just related to the BDing we've been doing? Haha!)
I freaking hate TTC.
pear / 1846 posts
@wonderstruck: I think you might be Oing, you might have missed your LH spike overnight and when I temper I would get a dip the day of O, it would rise the day after. I've never had O spotting but have heard of it.
pomegranate / 3791 posts
@LindsayInNY: Boo to AF! Fingers crossed you get a Valentine's Day baby! And wine is definitely a good idea.
@dc yoga bee: Haha, usually I test that early too...not sure why because with DS I didn't get a positive until way after I started testing, but I'm so impatient! Not sure I can stil to the early and often plan this month though - seeing the BFNs on my tests is starting to get me down.
@HolisticMama: Do it!

Sooo....drinking a half a gallon of water (which I usually do) during the morning you want to take an OPK...not so smart, hm?
Are you usually able to do the 4 hour hold before testing? Even if I COULD hold in all that water (which I totally can't)- it would probably by WAY diluted, right?
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@wonderstruck: FX it was just an O dip! Keep us posted.
@HolisticMama: I'm trying to figure this out too. I am curious to see all the responses!

@Lady Hibiscus: I know that when I am ovulating sex can be a little uncomfortable. Maybe you are either about to O or just recently did.
persimmon / 1167 posts
POAS Fail. LOL.
I will be ready next cycle! (Hopefully there isn't a next cycle)
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@HolisticMama: I pretty much have to use FMU for OPKs. It's the only way I can get a positive result because I drink a ton of water.
cherry / 173 posts
@Mrs.Panda: So I think I need to change my POAS date... I normally O on CD 17, but this month (second cycle since miscarriage) It jumped up to CD 14/15... should I move my POAS date? I had it down as 1/26 but im thinking I should move it to 1/24. Any thoughts?
persimmon / 1167 posts
@septca: I was thinking the same thing. I drink a lot. A half gallon is just the beginning of my water intake. I average around 100ish ounces a day.
So do you have luck with OPKs with FMU?
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@HolisticMama: I have great luck with this system, but you go into it knowing there is going to be some uncertainty (if you get a + with FMU, you started your surge the day before, so you will *likely* O the day you get the +). This is exactly what I am going through right now and why I am choosing to believe FF that I am 11 DPO today, even though I know I'm probably really 12. But, honestly, the only time your O day matters +/- 1 day is when you are in the TWW and driving yourself crazy.
persimmon / 1167 posts
@septca: True. I'm really hoping that I get to know my cycle and that's it is pretty consistent so that I can confidently BD at appropriate times. But I suppose that most people TTC want the same thing. It's a learning journey and for the most part...I really like learning.
nectarine / 2148 posts
So today is listed as my POAS date and I am going to postpone it to January 18th. I am not really charting or anything so I may have been off on my original thoughts on my O date. I should definitely find out by then if my AF is going to show up. I don't really want to test until after my AF date has passed.
pomegranate / 3658 posts
@HolisticMama: @septca: I am probably going to start using FMU for OPKs next cycle. I drink a ton of water during the day and forcing myself to do a 4-hour hold in the afternoon has been driving me crazy. It makes me so uncomfortable I'm not in the best mood for sex after!
persimmon / 1259 posts
So I have been so busy at work today that I haven't been able to stay up to date with the posts today! But here' s a quick update on me. My ultrasound is now scheduled for Monday instead of Friday since AF started a day later than expected (today). So I am starting Clomid on Friday, ultrasound on Monday, and the BDing like crazy starting next Thursday!

@sarahnicole218: you've got an exciting week ahead of you there! Keeping my fingers crossed.

@PawPrints: I've only ever used FMU with opks, and never had a problem getting a positive. I also think I surge overnight, so I'm counting that day of positive as my O. However, I made sure to bd day of positive and the next day to cover my bases. Hoping I get a bfp this cycle!
pomegranate / 3658 posts
@dc yoga bee: I just realized it may be bad luck for me to be talking about next cycle's OPKs when I'm still at 6 DPO. I guess that says something about how much optimism I have!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@PawPrints: Or you can follow sports fan logistic (that is what my husband calls it). If you buy wine, you won't be able to drink it. If you buy a VIP subscription on FF, you won't need it. If you plan for next cycle, it will never come. Obviously I spend a lot of money on wine.
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@PawPrints: lol I feel your pain! I'm 7 or 8dpo, and through testing already, and am waiting on next month.
pomegranate / 3658 posts
@septca: Well when you put it that way, it would be irresponsible *not* to go out and buy a case of wine tonight. Good to have a plan for the evening.

@HolisticMama: I wish I had a good answer for you. The past few cycles I was using the cheapies from Target which are quite similar to the Wondfos. I could limit fluid a little bit (maybe 20 oz. over 3 hours) and only hold for 3 hours and get an accurate (or accurate enough) reading. I just got Wondfos in the mail today so I of course needed to try them out, plus I have had pretty good looking cm even though it is way early. After a 4 hour hold and very little water at all though I barely got a test line. So, long story short, I figure they are cheap enough that I am just going to be extra generous with my use of them this month. If I were you I would test with fmu and then again in the afternoon with as long of a hold as you can tolerate.
@septca: I am glad to hear your interview went well, I hope you fly through the next stage! I love your sports fan logic, by that logic I should be all set for this cycle although I should probably stock up on booze.
I was so excited for my wondfos to arrive but I went to put them away and I think I may have a problem of the addiction variety... I seem to think buying ttc paraphernalia will up my odds.

How interesting, @Cole! I received my Wondfos yesterday, as well! Last night I got a visible test line. This morning I got a BEAUTIFUL test line, yet not quite positive. At around 1 PM with totally diluted urine I got a lighter line.
And just now? With little dilution and holding it for awhile? BARELY a line.
So I'm thinking I must have surged sometime last night maybe? Or yesterday?
Thoughts?
I probably ovulated today.
So a beautiful sperm is now entering my egg and together they will make an awesomely healthy baby. Sweet Deal.

@Cole: LOL! I love it!
My drawer is a mix of pregnancy tests, OPKs, tampons, preseed, and prenatal vitamins.
I'm covered for all eventualities.

@Crystal: I will take your fingers! Well...you can keep your fingers, but you know what I mean.
I have a girlfriend who is REALLY into positive intention and prayer. She says it is seriously powerful stuff. So I have asked everyone on my facebook to send me prayers, thoughts, baby dust and energy. Haha. It can't hurt, right?

@Cole: ha ha! this totally could have been a photo of my "supplies".
I decided this coming month that I am not tracking anything so it is super empty this round for me....only one lonely box of frer. Let's see if this "not trying" will be more enjoyable ha ha!

@Keppa: @Sprite: @however briefly: Any update on O?
There are lots of end-of-the-month testers!
I just took my second dose of Clomid 100mg and so far no side effects. Not sure if that's good or bad...

@littlek: that is awesome! Every time my housekeeper is coming I dump my wastebasket into a target bag and tie it up so she can't see the insane number of things I have peed on... Now she has started putting bags in all the wastebaskets because she must think that's my preference! I like your little cups, I had a bunch of solo cups so that is what I have been using but they are too big.

@Mrs.Panda: nah, you can just keep me there. I'll keep testing and updating y'all incessantly...

@Cole: I use the little paper Dixie cups. You can get 200 for like $3 at the grocery store.

@Cole: @septca: Yep, Dixie bathroom cups are awesome for our POAS purposes!

Hi everyone- I've been meaning to jump in here for a few days although I'm starting to get worried that I won't be poas until next month. This was my second cycle using the digital opk and last cycle looked great but this one is confusing me. Got my happy face 5 days ago and my temps have yet to confirm anything. Here's my chart- opinions welcome!
