@septca: I'm glad you are sticking around... WE would miss you!
I feel like January has been slow.. hoping we see some BFPs this weekend!

@babycanuck: Okay. You are GORGEOUS. Also, the necklace is absolutely stunning!! Does it have a story? FX for SA.
@MrsMccarthy: How goes it today? Is it ovulation Day?
I'm CD17. 2DPO. Feeling good. I never have much CM, like..at all? But today...hm...unusual. Especially for after ovulation.
I had to laugh about being walked in on. Oh goodness. I am not looking forward to that.
@fotolori1: How are you feeling today post test?
Bummer that you forgot the preseed. Did you already O this month? I know that you were supposed to this week, right?
@dc yoga bee: Stoked for your good news! Woohoo!
@sarahnicole218: Oh my goodness! New beginnings! So exciting! Keep us informed on how you are feeling.
@Snowdrop: I will keep you company in the 2WW. So bummed to hear that DH had issues. I bet he feels lousy about it. Are you guys using preseed? Think DH might like it?
@however briefly: How are you feeling? I know that last month was a bit rough. Do you have anything nice planned for yourself in the next couple of weeks? AND HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! 10 Years! That's a big one!
@septca: I have talked to a number of women that struggle with the breast feeding and TTC#2 dilemma. You definitely aren't alone. Did you have trouble conceiving LO? Or have a timeline you are wanting to meet?
@Crystal: Yeah. I actually have a glass dixie cup that I reuse. I have one at work and home. I always use a cup. LOL. I had that same experience with DH on Saturday. It was like after he realized I wanted to do it- and thought about it before a bit- that it seemed like a grand idea. Ha.
@sandy: :: grumble grumble :: BFNs suck. Hugs to you. Onwards to new beginnings!
persimmon / 1259 posts
@HolisticMama: Thank you! Still feeling good so far!
@Crystal: I use a glass cup as well that I keep under my sink and wash after each use. But glass is nice, since you can see through it! Good luck!

@littlek: I think I will test at the end of the month too, though I will only be about 8 or 9 DPO.
I have never felt this much anxiety waiting for O, and I can only imagine how bad this TWW will be!!!!!!
@HolisticMama: @sarahnicole218: I am trying to decide what will be less embarrassing- being seeing carrying a crushable dixie cup to the bathroom at work, or something reusable?
persimmon / 1167 posts
@Crystal: I have no modesty. LOL. I also walk back to my office with the pee stick with me. Haha. I'm so bad. You _could_ be filling up a glass with water and drinking it. You don't see many people walking around work with a dixie cup.
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@Crystal: I always see people washing dishes in the bathroom (gross), so I wouldn't think twice about a reusable cup.
persimmon / 1167 posts
@dc yoga bee: Really? That's so weird. No kitchen at work? If we didn't have a kitchen- I would just throw my dirty dishes in my bag to take home to wash.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@dc yoga bee: Ewww. People here do that too, but we have access to a sink next door in a type of breakroom!
@HolisticMama: You are so brave! I think I might wait in the bathroom for the 5 mins.
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@HolisticMama: @Crystal: Large federal agency in a historic building downtown DC. No breakroom I take my dirty dishes home as well in a reusable bag. But, let's be real- I eat out practically all week!
persimmon / 1167 posts
@Crystal: Not so much brave as just crazy passionate about having a baby and birth. LOL.
This is part of art that I made for my office:
It's been up for 6 months and no one has yet to mention the baby in utero or laboring woman. LOL.
So if someone asked me what the OPK was- I'd probably tell them. My acupuncturist wanted to actually see them- so I brought them in to show her.

@dc yoga bee: I take mine home to wash because I don't feel either option is very sanitary here.

I am officially in no help for BFPs this month as AF has promptly showed up. Onwards and upwards!
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@Eko: Awe don't look at it like that. You are a help, b/c you add to the fun group of friends we've got going on, as we are all going through the ups and downs of ttc together. I'm so sorry that AF showed up today. I hope you get a very sweet Valentine's BFP

@dc yoga bee: I have to wash my work dishes in the bathroom. We don't have a sink in our office. Not sure what's so gross about it? I don't leave food in the sink a la college or anything?
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@LindsayInNY: You're better than the women in our office! They leave food all in the sink, but not only that but bathrooms gross me out anyways. Too many germs floating around in there for me.

@Eko: boo...sorry...NEXT month has got to be our month!
I'm officially a roll over too..AF is here

@septca: I f i were you i wouldn't jump the gun to fully wean unless you are ready. It has come to my attention that a lot of non nursing moms are having the same weird PP cycles i am and I think some of it is just hormonal changes from giving birth, carrying more or less weight etc. I think you also mentioned that you came off BCP last month and i know it can take a while sometimes for cycles to regulate. I decided that for the first 6 months i am not going to fully wean but just make sure there is at least a 7 hour period of time when my son doesnt nurse. I have also cut the duration of sessions which Kelly Mom said can affect things. If you feel ready do it but i dont want you to feel pressured then do it and see no change but be heartbroken. A gradual effort could work almost as well. Wish you could join for Feb but glad you will stick around and keep TTC just in case!~
@littlek: remember December didnt pick up till the very end of the month! here is hoping we have a big wave of unprecidented BFPs soon!!!
@HolisticMama: hey there sweetness! I am on CD16 and expected an eggy on my monitor but lo and behold i got yet another high! this means i have to keep up the BD with my
husband. he is super sexy but i wont lie i would love a little break. hopefully he wont see it as too much of a chore. he has been so good so far. If you ovulated then CM shouldnt be super fertile and it seems like its usually most fertile on like O-2 so maybe you are in the perfect zone! FX
@sarahnicole218: we keep my cup under the sink too! it's a reusable plastic cup
@Crystal: grr i HATE all the waiting too!!!! i am oly on my first cycle and it has been unbearable. i really need to stop obssessing but it's hard. thats what i do best.
@dc yoga bee: i agree! come on BFPs!!!!
@Eko: so sorry honey! FX for next month.
@Adira sorry about BFN. i hope it's on the near horizon.
@sandy: Blah!!! sorry about AF but glad you are out of limbo! i hope you have a happy valentines day in store!!!!!

Hey everyone:
bummed to see the BFNs.... I got one today too at 9DPO (i think) with the Wondfo strips. Not sure exactly when I ovulated this month but I have been having nonstop cramps for 3 days. I'm assuming that it is AF cramps being that it's CD 24. I've had every symptom possible since I went off BCP-- who even really knows what to expect anymore I see a nice dinner out and a glass of wine to enjoy this Friday night!
By the way, the wondfo strips seem amazing... I've read some mixed opinions but I now feel like an idiot spending the $ on the other tests!

I'm SO hungry today.
MUST be a pregnancy symptom, right? RIGHT?!
So what are you ladies doing this weekend?
(Look at me! I was taught how to bold!)
I am going up to see a friend in Denver that I haven't seen in a bit. She has three children and one I haven't seen since he was born. He will be about 2 months old. I haven't held a baby in awhile. I'm afraid it will make my ovaries explode.
I'm also doing pilates in the morning and Zumba on Sunday. Monday? Relax. Clean. Read. Relax. Oh...and some homework in there somewhere.
honeydew / 7295 posts
WTF LADIES! I only got a high instead of an egg on my monitor this morning (egg=peak) but I just took and OPK and it think its positive. What do you ladies think? I also added a photo of my monitor sticks. I've read that the line to the right is darker during high days and the line to the left on LH days.
pomelo / 5720 posts
@MrsMccarthy: do you think the monitor could be off? Is this your first cycle using it? I hear you have to use it for a couple of months for it to get used to your cycle. I'm bad at reading OPKs but that looks pretty positive to me!
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
@HolisticMama: fx for you
I'm looking forward to this weekend - My husband and I take LO to a class in the morning (circle time and arts/crafts). I'm meeting 2 mom friends for mani/pedis for my friend's birthday after lunch. Then we're all getting sitters and meeting up for a birthday dinner (first time all the couples have gotten together without kiddos).
Sunday - swimming or children's museum in the morning then my husband is headed to the Seahawks game and I'll watch it at home during naptime.
Monday - my friend has the day off so we'll probably take our kids swimming (again) and then go out for lunch
Somewhere in there I will clean and get some laundry done
persimmon / 1167 posts
@MrsMccarthy: I am such an OPK novice, I will let an expert decide. Those lines sure do look nice to me.
I get OVERLY excited everytime someone posts a test picture. EVEN though I JUST read that you are CD16, I initially was like...
"OH MY GOD!"
But ovulation is still SUPER exciting.
Also- Can I please post this picture everytime someone posts a fun test picture?
persimmon / 1167 posts
@sandy: Do you swim inside or out?
Mani and Pedis sounds pretty divine...
pomelo / 5720 posts
I have a question about the digital OPKs. I stopped using them 4-5 days ago because I wasn't taking them correctly and they were stressing me out. I never got a smiley face but assumed I O'd sometime already. Today I took one with FMU and there was a line, not positive, but a darker line than I would expect for a control line. You still see a line after you O, correct? Now I'm worried that I might not have yet. Sigh. If I did, I have no idea what DPO I am....
pomelo / 5720 posts
@HolisticMama: that picture is hysterical. Please post a cute at photo for all the test pics
@sandy: sounds like a great weekend! I could go for a mani/pedi myself.
honeydew / 7295 posts
@bushelandapeck: I've been using it for three months and the first month was only highs but the last two I got about 5 highs then two eggs then high then low. Perhaps it reads me on the late side though because last cycle I ovulated on CD18 and the cycles prior I ovulated on CD20 so perhaps it just expects me to ovulate later??? I have heard about people getting highs on the monitor and no egg but still getting pregnant.
honeydew / 7295 posts
@bushelandapeck: from what I know we have LH in our systems at various times during the month so it could be you are Oing late or it could be that you already did and you missed the surge. You could also be having an annovulatory cycle which can mean several positive OPKs as well as several patches of Fertile CM. what is your CM telling you? I hope you are having a fertile cycle and just missed it or O late.
nectarine / 2358 posts
@MrsMccarthy: I don't O on my own, so I'm not sure! I am not monitored, but I will be getting bloodwork on CD25 to see if I ovulated.
@Crystal: No real side effects, which has me worried about whether or not it is working
We have had a slow BFP month! I'm thinking it's because there are fewer people on the thread as many are taking a break with the new year. I hope, anyway! Which brings me to next month. Who would like to volunteer to host? I know @septca: has potentially thrown in her hat, any other takers?

Also, I has wondering something based on another thread I saw the other day. What names do you love, but can't use? BE it because of a friend taking it, family, it doesn't go with your last name? Let me know!
I love a LOT of names, but DH either vetoes them or people I know have entertained them/used them.
