@QBbride: well, I woke up this morning after a horrible night sleep feeling like I'm getting sick, with every reason to assume my temp would've gone up, and it dropped .3 degrees, so I'm assuming AF is on it's way. If it doesn't start by this afternoon maybe I'll pick up tests while I'm out this evening and test in the morning, but I'm thinking I'm out this month. Ho hum....

@shellio: thank you! it was only 8 years in the making, lol (having LO unexpectedly the year I was planning to finish set me back a bit).
I had a big fat fail with temping for the first time this morning. On the instructions it said not to open my mouth for 5 minutes before putting in the thermometer. My alarm went off this morning and DH was still asleep so it woke him (he was supposed to be up before me) and so we talked to each other. So then I grabbed the themometer and put it beside me on the bed and laid still for 5 minutes....but then i couldn't find it in the dark! DH complained that i was moving too much when he was trying to sleep more, so i finally gave up! I later found it at the foot of my bed, don't know how it got there, lol. I guess I will start temping tomorrow on CD3....

Hoping to get some advice/reassurance regarding OPKs. This is my first cycle using them and I got a faint positive in the a.m. of the 3rd (CD20) with a darker positive in the p.m. On the 4th, I had strong positives in the a.m. and p.m. This morning (CD22) I had another positive. Does this seem on track with what should happen? I'm not sure how long to expect positives. I should note I usually have longer cycles, but do positives at this time seem too late? Thanks!

@californiadreams: haha, don't stress too much- I just started temping today at CD6 because I kept forgetting! Sorry about AF hoping this cycle is it for you!

@Mrs. J: Well, I'm using wondfos, so in comparing the two lines, the test line was just about as dark as the control line, but just a bit lighter.

I'm joining in!
POAS Cycle Day: -2
TTC Cycle #: 2
Ovulation and POAS dates: O around 1/17 and POAS 1/31 (these are just guesses, I didn't stop birth control until early December, so I'm only basing this on my cycle length from last month)
Baby #: 2
Your plan this month: Just try to BD a few times around my estimated O date. Nothing else yet.
And just for fun… what is your New Year's resolution for 2015? Be less stressed

@MittenMama: I wouldn't consider a "faint positive" to be positive. I would consider only the tests with the test line darker than the control to be true positives.

I'm 5DPO and definite cramping going on today! I certainly hope that it's implantation cramping
Although I haven't posted much, I definitely read what's going on and am praying that we all have a great turnout of BFP's this month!

@MittenMama: it's not considered positive until the test line is as dark or darker than the control. There's no such thing as a faint positive like there are with HPTs.
When I use wondfo opks, it's positive for me when the test line is the same darkness as control. Mine never were darker than the control line.

Starting to feel some cramps starting. Assuming AF will arrive by morning. Argh. I really had a good feeling about this cycle. Good thing we are heading to meet our new donor this evening. Awkward!!

So I had another BFN today at 13 dpo, so I'm assuming I'm out. I'm not as disappointed this month as I was last month.
We're going to start renovating a house we just bought and if I was pregnant, I definitely wouldn't be able to help as much as I want to. Trying to look for the silver lining...

@JennyG: same here, 13dpo and expecting AF tomorrow. Also trying to look at the bright side--I would be due in Sept, the same month LO starts preschool, and that would be a lot of transition for him at once....
so exciting about your renovation project! Is it an old house? or just one that needs cosmetic changes?

@shortiecake @busylizzy111 @CarrieLouWho @Honeygold89 Congrats on your !!
Got a positive OPK this morning. We BD last night and will for the next couple of nights. Hope this is my cycle!

@cranberry: welcome! Goodluck!!
@NorthStar: that sounds promising!!! Goodluck!
@2farmmoms: sorry to hear that
@JennyG: I'm sorry...there could still be a chance though! House renovations sound fun though!
@hilsy85: I'm sorry I had such high hopes for you this cycle! It isn't over until AF shows though....
Trying to get through this boring part of my cycle. Going to start BDing everyday starting Wednedsay until Sunday to hopefully increase chances. Drinking lots of green tea and taking bcomplex as well.

@hilsy85: It's an older house with amazing bones and structure, but needs a new kitchen, one updated bathroom, and a few odds and ends. The previous owners already redid two bathrooms, so we don't have to worry about them. DH and I redid the bathroom floor in our current house this weekend and I had fun doing it, so I'm glad I'll be able to do a lot with the renovation now without being 1st trimester exhausted. I mean, I would obviously rather be pregnant, but I'm trying to stay positive.
@mrs.gm: Good luck with the BDing marathon.

I couldn't make myself wait till after AF was due this month, and got this squinter today... Will try a FRER tomorrow morn with FMU!

@NorthStar: Thanks! I was almost positive I saw it in real life but its so hard to tell on the picture. I have never posted a pic of my BFP here before so I was really excited to do it

@shellio: congrats!
@MittenMama: as pps explained, it's only positive when it's the same or darker than the control, so whichever of those days fell into that category is your positive, and you might have ovulated in the day(s) after that. Good luck!

@shellio: Congratulations!!
@NovBaby1112: I'm totally with you on the being bored with this part of my cycle. I'm so tempted to start using OPKs even though I'm only on CD 8. Having a long cycle suuuuucks.

Hi ladies,
I had assumed I was out this month and was ready to join the Feb boards as our BD timing was off (or so I thought). I had a dream last night that I was KU (same thing happened when I found out I was pregnant with DD, so I POAS this AM and got this. What do you think?? This was our first month TTC #2... It took us 7months of trying to get pregnant last time. This pic was after about 7 min. 30 later there was a much more obvious line.

@jodyblair: yea, i'm lucky (?) that my cycles are short (23-25 days) but I'm still so impatient!
@Ocean girl: I see a faint line! Congrats!!
kiwi / 637 posts
@Honeygold89: @NovBaby1112: thanks ladies. I'm not 100% trusting this. I think I'm only about 10DPO, so will continue to test for the next few days!
grapefruit / 4066 posts
@Ocean girl: a line is a line! 10dpo is still pretty early so I would expect it to be very faint. I'd test with an FRER tomorrow AM!

I'm out. Cycle day 1 today. Planning on another AI this time with the new donor in a couple weeks, maybe my eggs will like him better! If this cycle doesn't work, I have an appointment scheduled in February with a doc to start investigating. It hasn't been long, this was our third cycle trying, but when you're doing AI and traveling to meet donors, I'd rather find out sooner if something is wrong.

@shellio: @Ocean girl: congrats ladies! With my dd I got a very faint positive on a dollar store test in the afternoon of 10dpo- 2 days before AF was due. I think it's a great sign!
Thats what I keep looking for this time around, as with my miscarriage I only got a very very faint bfp on 12dpo with fmu. I am kind of terrified of later bfp's, as for me, they have not been kind enough to stick around
I am thrown for a loop again with this cycle. I thought I was 11dpo today (a bunch of bfn's for me), but fertility friend seems to have changed its mind and thinks a second temp shift was my ovulation shift, so I'm only 4dpo? I guess I'm ok with that since I am not getting positive tests, and I had progesterone checked on what I thought was 7dpo and it was low if that was what day it actually was.. Anyone know if 6.9 is a good progesterone level for ovulation day itself? Anyway.. I'm just glad that I will have an answer or two depending on if AF shows in the next day or two or waits another week!

Totally blows that all my super convincing TWW "pregnancy symptoms" actually took place before ovulation.. Stupid power of the mind!!

Congrats to those with a BFP!
I am having the hardest time waiting another week but for some reason I don't feel like this was our cycle. It's so crazy because we got pregnant last time on the pill (and, so little "trying").
Good luck to everyone!

Still no AF. Testing again in the AM. No longer feeling PMSy, just feel kinda sick. Hoping that's a good sign, but if i don't have a positive tomorrow though I'm 99% sure our timing was off and i have no idea what my body is doing, lol.
pear / 1614 posts
Thanks to all! Hopefully I'll get another BFP soon - took a FRER this morn and got a BFN. We'll see!

Thanks everyone. I'm going to do a FRER on the weekend, but here is this morning's wondfo!

@2farmmoms: sorry about AF....good luck next cycle with the donor!
@CObee: I know what you mean...I want to start testing early this time because in my mind, an early bfp is good and a late faint one isn't. I got a faint barely there one at 12dpo and another super faint one on 14dpo, and that pregnancy was a chemical. can you post your chart? did you do opks?
@shellio: goodluck! Maybe it's still too early!
@Ocean girl: def positive!!
