If you have an A&A sleep sack, have you noticed any issue with quality/ripping? I want to get a lighter weight sleep sack for the summer, but a lot of the reviews on amazon talk about seams ripping, zippers coming off, etc. Have you had any issues? If so, is there a light weight sleep sack that you would recommend instead?

Our ripped a month or so after we started using it. I just patched it up and it didn't bother me!

We have two and have never had a problem! They do wash a little weird - the fabric shrinks a tad so the sipper does that wavy thing that sometimes happens with sweatshirts - but it's not a big deal and we do love them for warmer nights!

Yes, both of ours ripped, in the shoulder area. This was due to my son standing., though.
I prefer the Halo mesh early walker sacks, the ones with the feet/leg holes.

The zipper on ours scrunched up and tore. It also kind of bled some time of dark ink around the area. It's been warm at night but chillier in the mornings and I'm also looking for a summer sleep sack.

We have several and never had any issues with them. They still look new minus the shrinkage.

We lost the zipper after one wash. Of course it was a gift without a gift receipt. Not impressed.

I've definitely noticed the fabric/zipper getting scrunched up and wavy after washing.

We recently just got the baby dee dee sleep nest lite. It's a jersey material, and though it might not be as light as the A&A, we love it!

@2PeasinaPod: is it just one layer of jersey? I've been eyeing those as well, but we don't have air conditioning, so I need something very light for summer (to keep her from climbing out of the crib, mainly :p)

We have 2 of the 'cozy' and 1 of the lightweight and love them all. No problems with rips. DH broke one zipper, but for $15 we had a local tailor put a new one on and it was as good as new

@mrskc: & @Mrs. Superhero: Though it says double layered, I don't believe it is. I'm going to check it when I get home and let you guys know. It's super light and is just jersey cotton. they hold up so well though. We have the regular sleep nest and LO slept so well in that one that we got this one as it started to get warmer.

Found the other one we use! It was a gift, and I couldn't remember the name! We have this one in 2.5 tog and LO loves it as well...we were thinking about buying the 1.0 tog. It's a UK company:

Just wanted to report back that the thin one is double layered, but still pretty breathable for LO.
Also, the grobags can be found from retailers on Amazon as well!

I have the Baby DeeDee and love it, it's my favorite sleep blanket! I think we need to move to the next size up! I wish I could catch a sale on them!

@2peasinapod: did you end up getting the grobag 1.0?? We have the thicker grobag and baby dee dee and love both! Now Im deciding between the lighter versions of these two brands and wondering how they compare!

@Mrs. Chen: I didn't...we ended up with just the Baby Dee Dee lite sleep sack. We loved both as well, and I didn't realize that you could get them on Amazon before I ordered the BDD. We're contemplating getting one more, but I'm not sure if he'll continue to like being in a sleep sack during the hot summer months! What to do?!?!
