Last week I had my second Acupuncture appointment (for my back) and I was having a discussion with my therapist about acupuncture and birth.

Sure I knew people used acupuncture for fertility treatments and to provoke labor (when you are past your due date) but she also told me that some acupuncturist are available to be in the labor room with you if you don't want to use meds.

Meaning, if labor slows down, they can use their needles so it picks right back up, and they can also trigger some pain relieving points (so make labor less painful, instead of taking an epidural)

Has anyone tried this? I am beyond curious and really am going to look into this.
