I did for both pregnancies. The first, I'd had a MC then tried again for several months and went in to help regulate my cycle but moreso for stress and anxiety. I got pregnant the second cycle after starting. With my second pregnancy, I knew we wanted to TTC soon and my cycle was out of whack due in part to extreme work stress. I started going again, my cycle regulated, and I got pregnant my first month TTC. I think for me it works well for my stress and anxiety which helped with TTC. I know I didn't TTC as long, and I'm so sorry that you've been struggling, but I wanted to share my feedback in case it's helpful.

@crazydoglady: yes! I went to see a fertility acupuncture specialist when I was TTC my first baby. They got me on a healthier way of eating & lifestyle improvements as well as the nasty herbs. I think it took two months of regular visits and we got our bfp. It had taken nearly five months prior up until that point and I had long cycles then too. I continued for the whole first tri as I had nausea and found it helped a lot & brought me back my appetite so I could at least eat one decent meal/week!

I used acupuncture and herbs again when ttc second time. We got pregnant that very first cycle but it sadly resulted in an early miscarriage. I didn’t go back to that clinic as it was too painful...they were surprised it happened so quickly and did recommend coming in after the MC but I just couldn’t.

Few months later we had our third acupuncture program and I went weekly maybe five times? And then fell pregnant without having to take the herbs, luckily!

Both labours, births and babies have been uncomplicated and drama free...and I credit acupuncture for helping us get there both times.

Good luck if you choose to do it! I would go every week if it wasn’t so darn $$$$! Soooo relaxing!!

I did it when I was doing IVF. I very firmly believe that it contributed to my success.

I did acupuncture and if nothing else, it helped me cope through a very difficult period in my life. What I ultimately attribute now two pregnancies to was taking ubiquinol (the reduced form of CoQ10) at a dosage of 600mg per day, which I started at the recommendation of my acupuncturist when trying to conceive my 2nd (for my current pregnancy, I just went right back to the ubiquinol without the acupuncture this time and got pregnant very quickly). I did not do it when I was doing my IVF because not covered by insurance and didn't have time to do it. I don't think it would have helped me in any way. But I'm all for spending money on whatever gives you peace of mind.

@crazydoglady: I got pregnant the first cycle I tried at 32 but then spent 14 months when I was 35 trying to get pregnant with kid #2. I'm now 38 and newly pregnant and it happened quickly. I think the link you sent was for ubiquinone rather than ubiquinol. Basically, it gives your eggs more energy to do what they need to do. Obviously, this doesn't cure every single fertility issue but it might be worth a try if you can't pinpoint any other reason why.

@crazydoglady: I took 600 mg (so three 200 mg pills each morning). I stopped a few days before my positive test because I had run out. I had two losses during the 14 month period that I was trying to conceive my second but both those losses and my final successful pregnancy were months I was taking the ubiquinol (the months with the losses I only took it a week or so). The other 11 months I did not take it or took only 200 mg and did not end up pregnant. It just seemed like too strange of a coincidence to not be related. Good luck!

@crazydoglady: I started doing acupuncture after about 6 months TTC and nada... I think it definitely helped my stress levels - no doubt. I did get pregnant after about 10 months TTC and perhaps acupuncture helped?? I had also decided, OK - maybe lets wait, and started interviewing for jobs across the country - and of course, that's when we got preggo.

I did not do it when TTC-ing DS, but we are going to start TTC-ing our 2nd in the new year and I just spoke to my acupuncturist today about a plan (have been seeing her for 6 months for anxiety/stress/back pain). She said to start taking vitamin D and I should see her the week after my period but before ovulation, so I am booked for that week in January and we shall see! Either way it def helps me feel more relaxed and balanced and is something nice I do for myself (and my insurance is going to start covering it in 2018.)

@crazydoglady obvs tell them you are TTC-ing so they place the needles accordingly; she also said for infertility (versus just fertility support) she would see someone weekly. But I think this is a great place to start! Good luck!

For my first, we had been ntnp for a long time, over a year. We started actively ttc and I got pregnant the 2ns cycle while receiving acupuncture for sleep help.
My second I got pregnant right away with no acupuncture.
My third, I was Ttc for 9 months. I went to accupinctire twice to try and help and got pregnant that month.
So I’m not sure if it was related, but I think it might have been?
