Did you wait for AF to come back before TTC? Or did you just go for it after coming off birth control?
The first time around, i waited one cycle after coming off the pill. I'm now on Mirena and wondering if i should wait or just go ahead after i get it removed.

I'm currently TTC, but we took one full cycle off (30 days) before trying.

For me I would wait for my period to show up just because I'm control freaky that way in that I would want to count days, figure out ovulation, etc.

We just went for it, no waiting around a cycle for AF, etc. It didn't matter, I'm still not KU, ha!

I just had my Mirena removed Wednesday, despite having a "period" just a week before that (it is in quotes because my periods on Mirena were just a bit of spotting) I just got a real period today.
My doctor said it was likely to come pretty quickly after removal and to go ahead and start after that. She told me I could start trying immediately if we wanted but that often the lining of your uterus won't be quite thick enough for an effective implantation so you are more likely to have a chemical pregnancy if you don't wait until your period returns.

I waited a couple of months after coming off of BC. I wanted to make sure that my cycles were consistent. Luckily, they were. I'm on a combo pill right now. I don't know if my body will react the same way especially after a pregnancy, so I'm hoping by November to be off bc and trying for LO #2 in December.

About 7 months after having LO, I stopped using the mini pill, got one period like a month later, got pregnant with LO#2 the month after that.
First time around, my period came back right away after getting off loesterin fe. Like, within a month. Got pregnant after a few months, the first few just not really trying, then two months of charting.

@Cole: I hated my "periods"...sometimes it's like 2 weeks of spotting! Okay, good to know about the implantation issue...i don't really want to go through another m/c the way i did the first time around.

This is my first week off the mini pill. We are waiting till Dec to start trying. My body is wonky and I need some time off of hormones!!! Plus the earliest I would like to have a baby is August because of work. So we are shooting for the earliest we could have a baby full knowing that it is very unlikely that that will actually happen!!

Last time, we started trying right away.
I have a Mirena right now and will probably get it out in another year. My doctor just told me that as soon as I get it out, we can start trying immediately. They only issue is that if you do get pregnant right away, it can be more difficult for the doctor to date the pregnancy b/c it's less certain when you last ovulated.
