So after 3.5 years of being pregnant and nursing, I'm finally done and my boobs are deflated balloons and none of my bras fit (except my nursing bras, but let's be honest, they aren't very flattering).
So I need new bras! And I need to get measured since I'm no where near my old size. Where did you go to get new bras and/or to get measured after nursing (or in general really)??

If you have a specialty lingerie shop near you, I have found them to be much better than VS or similar. I think the style/brand of bra really depends on your individual body shape and boobs! Best way is just to try a bunch on at Nordstrom or similar dept store.

@hilsy85: Thanks! Yeah, I don't know of any specialty shops near me - the one I used to really like closed. VS is the only place I know does measurements. Do you know if Nordstrom does measurements?

Nordstrom for a fitting 
They will measure your band/rib cage and cup. Once they put in some bras available at the store they will re-measure to make sure they got it right.
After trying on many different styles over the years hands down Fantasie t-shirt bra is my favorite. It comes in black too.

Nordstrom does measurements and they are great. They offer a few price points (although let's be honest it's not target pricing but for bras it's worth it). I've found quite a few there. General I have been much happier with the bras I have gotten there as compared to comparable price point bras at vs.

@Adira: IDK about Nordstrom Rack. Do you have a Soma near you? I'm not a fan of their bras, but they have accurate fittings.

I agree about Nordstrom! We don't have one in our town, but I went to one during a trip and she was so nice. I was pretty surprised at my size, too.

@Adira: I was going to suggest Soma, but if they don't have one near you, that's a bummer. I love their bras! Another thing you can do is get fitted and then buy bras online. I love their Embraceable line. They make my post-nursing boobs look so good and perky without being a push-up bra.

I like VS personally. I think they are more fun and you can get deals on them. I size myself and it is pretty easy to do if you have a measuring tape.

@Adira: I had a fitting at the Nordstrom in south shore plaza, which I know is a bit of a hike for you (actually I went after that meet up there two years ago!). It was good but not great since I needed nursing bras and they don't carry them in that particular store but would work for you. I'm looking forward to buying some nice new bras when I'm all done with pregnancy and nursing too!

I also got fitted at Bloomingdale's. I found that about a year after finishing my pumping, I was able to wear some of my old bras again though.

@Adira: I wear the full coverage lined bra. They have several different types in that line too (demi, convertible, unlined, push-up) if you want a little something different. They are also usually 2 for $59 and it's so hard to find more than one good bra for that price.

Another vote for Soma's embraceable bras! So comfy and flattering. I just got fitted this month and was shocked at how much better they made my boobs look.

I love love the Maidenform Comfort Devotion Extra Coverage Tshirt bra (whoa that's a mouthful). It's super supportive, comfy, and actually cute enough that i don't feel like a 75 year old grandma wearing it! I have 3 and want to get more. I get them when im near an outlet for really good deals.

I got fitted at Nordstrom for new bras after I had E, and I really loved the Freya balconette style. I found that I simply could not wear the same style that I used to--I needed the lift from balconette and demi cups.

I have always found the best fit at Intimacy, but I haven't been since they transitioned to Rigby & Peller last fall. VS never carried my size, and both VS and Nordstrom, sized me incorrectly.

@Foodnerd81: Oh nice! Thanks for thinking of me!! I actually ended up going to VS because I was desperate and they are close, but I should go to South Shore and see if they measure me differently and get some different bras.
