I know that LO won't fuss if she has a messy diaper. She's 3 1/2 months old and only once has her diaper been the reason she's fussing. Today we were out for about 5 1/2 hours and she only grumbled when she was hungry (twice). When we got home I saw that her diaper had leaked all over the carseat. I knew that I should have checked but didn't.
Definitely a bad mom moment.

Yep. Did that once when LO was that age. Except I had to drop him at daycare late (had the morning off) and pulled him out of the seat and he was a mess! Had to be at work so just had to hand him over and apologize. Felt like a terrible mommy!

this happened to me recently! DH had the baby while I ran errands, and he never thinks to check her diaper (to be fair, he's only been alone with her a handful of times and only for a couple hours). but I assumed that he did, and by the time I checked a couple hours later it was so full that her clothes were damp..I felt terrible!

@Amelieisme: There have been a few times lately when I drop her off at daycare hungry. In my defense, daycare is 7 minutes from my house and if she starts whining for food as I'm putting her in the car, it won't hurt her to wait, especially if I'll be late.
