Do you have one? Thinking of getting one by Southwest Airlines. which has the most bang for the buck? Is it wishful thinking to find one that doesn't have an annual fee?

Cards without annual fees exist (or at least did a few years ago) but aren't well advertised and you don't get much bang for your buck. Before all the airline mergers I had a United College Plus card which was no fee, one mile per two dollars spent, and I heard of a similar American Airlines Bronze card. If you calculate dollars you would spend on airfare vs miles you accrue vs annual fee, they may or may not be good deals.

Here is the current American card: https://www.aa.com/i18n/travelInformation/airportAmenities/AACreditCard.jsp?anchorLocation=DirectURL&title=aacreditcard
Edit: this card is from American but doesn't earn miles.

I have an American Airlines one and a United one from college. We use the AA one all the time!
My United one doesn't have an annual fee, but my AA one does. However, my AA one is always a business account.
