I am definitely done with pumping for LO #1. We are down to nursing twice a day, and I have no plans to be away from him anytime soon (he's 13 months).
Do I trash my pump? It's a medela pump in style advance (I think). The kind in the black tote bag.
Do I get a new pump for baby #2? (whenever that happens ...)

I used the same pump for #1 and #2 and then threw it away!
If your insurance covers it (mine didn't) you can get a new one for #2

@cmomma17: I would keep it, even if you get a new one through insurance later. Then you'll have a back up, or one for home and one for work.

I would keep it too, you never know if your company might switch insurance and then you might get stuck with a model that you don't want.

Guess I'm keeping it as a back up! 
My secret fear is that I'd trash it, but then the laws would change and I wouldn't be able to get one free from insurance the second time around!

I don't know but I kept mine and put it in the closet. Even though I don't have plans for another LO. It cost so much I wasn't going to toss it!

@cmomma17: I kept mine. I figured by the time we have another I might be able to get another one through insurance for free again. Then I can keep one at work and one at home. One less thing to carry around every day.

@cmomma17: I think the "rules" are just one person should use it, but I know many people who have used a friends' pump with new tubing and flanges and they have been totally fine.

@birdofafeather: LOL! yes, I am actually done! I stopped pumping at work the week of LO's first birthday on 4/18. I couldn't take one more day!

Oh my, I paid over 300 bucks for my pump. Almost more than my first car! I used it for two LOs and planning on keeping it for awhile.

@Lindsay05: what kind do you have? some people told me the motor wouldn't make it through 2 kids? If it still works I have no problem keeping it!

@cmomma17: I have the same as you, PISA. Worked great for #2. The only issue I had was the wall plug in stopped working
