So Amazon's Fire TV stick is launching and it's only $19 for Prime members for two days. Are you thinking about getting one?

I just saw this! I don't really NEED it - my bluray allows me to stream Netflix or Amazon Prime, the only two subscriptions I really use, but I'm kind of tempted to get it anyway!

@Adira: i know, we have an Apple TV, but for only $19, I'm tempted to buy one in case we install a TV upstairs at some point.

We just ordered two. You can't beat the $19 price. We are keeping one and giving the other as a Christmas gift.

@Mamaof2: We are giving it to DH's parents so it doesn't matter to us if they are logged into our Amazon account, but I would assume that you can change the account somehow. If it doesn't work out then we will return it.

I don't get it, what's it do??? You download the streaming shows to the stick that you want to watch, then just plug it into the tv and watch????
Thinking this would be great for maternity leave

@blackbird: It's like a Roku or an AppleTV. You plug it into your tv and it has a wifi connection. Then you use it to watch shows on Netflix or Hulu (and a few other things).

i ordered one and it says no delivery til january! we have a roku, but only 1 tv at this point and i anticipate us getting another tv in the next 6 months, so this will be helpful!

Just got mine - took forever to get it working for some reason but once its set up its super easy!
Works perfectly - my smart TV could never get amazon to stream but this does!
My kids were all excited when I pulled up the library and all our movies were on there!
Games too and music!!!
Love it!!!

I just got an email from Amazon saying that my Fire TV Stick will be delivered on Dec 8 instead of Dec 17, like they originally said. It looks like they are a little ahead of schedule.

My order has shipped and will be delivered tomorrow. It is being delivered 2 days earlier than I expected based on the last update I received from Amazon.
