    @gotkimchi: if you look at the left side of the deals page you can sort by department - for instance I searched for Upcoming deals and then gift cards

    So, does stuff just go on sale for the whole day, or do I have to watch for lightning deals? I want a Kindle Kids edition, but so far I haven't seen any lightning deals listed for them. Will they just be deeply discounted all day? How do I know if I buy it at 10pm tonight that it won't be cheaper at 11am tomorrow?

    You guys, this is stressing me out...

    @littlebug: most are lightening deals. But some like the Kindle are not. They just post the reduced price and you can buy any time.

    @T.H.O.U.: Thanks!

    Is anyone else having trouble "watching" a deal? I tried to watch a few things, but it's said "Failed. Retrying" every time. I'm also not seeing (I don't think...) what the special prime day price is going to be. So confused!

    I just ordered the kindle fire 8 for $89 ($40 off). Just wanted to let people know that deal is now available.

    @PinkElephant: I think it fixed. The issue seems to be just before go live.

    Best deal I've found so far is that Natives are 30% off! You have to add to cart and view checkout to see the discounted price, but I just bought a size up hoping they'll fit for next year.

    @Shantuck: Sitting in my cart now! Yay!

    Also, just FYI (and I'll add this to the Deals board) I just got an email that Pediped is having a huge sale. Wonder if it's in response to Prime Day?

    Erm... If you need Brawny paper towels (lame...) I just checked out and it came to...free. there was a coupon, Prime day deal, and S&S. I even got the email confirming it is $0..

    @SweetCaroline: I see $30?

    @Coral: Brawny Paper Towels, Pick-A-Size, 16 XL Rolls

    So strange!

    @travellingbee: see screenshot. I clearly hit a glitch, I don't even know what each of those line items discounts is. Will be interesting to see...

  18. travellingbee

    hostess / papaya / 10219 posts

    @SweetCaroline: yeah, weird, mine says $28 after taxes. No extra discounts... good job catching a glitch!

    @travellingbee: Yeah that's what I saw, too.

    Bummer. Looks like the Warehouse Deals extra 20% off is only for "select" items this year. And select is almost none.

    @SweetCaroline: I caught a similar glitch earlier. Got LO's bike (for her birthday) for $27!

    Last year they had a deal for $30 off of 150, I think... Has anyone seen anything similar? I've been saving up all of my Amazon purchases for the past week or two... I don't know when to pull the trigger

    @imadreamer: it depends on your cooking needs! Do you plan to make yogurt? How many people are in your family?

    I got the 6 qt last year and it's been plenty big for our family of 3, but I've read if you have a larger family and/or like to have extras to freeze the 8qt is worth the extra money.

    cherry / 108 posts

    @boopers - I like to eat yogurt, and love the homemade yogurt my mom and MIL make but have never attempted to make it!

    I have a family of 4, but my 2 year old and almost 4 year old rarely eat what we do!

  30. SweetCaroline

    pear / 1718 posts

    @imadreamer: $79 is not a deal on the 6 qt InstaPot. Its been that price for a while (per camelcamelcamel). It dropped to $66 on 7/6. I was expecting better prices on InstaPot!

    PS I'm specifically referring to the $79 pot linked above. It looks like the other link is priced lower. (I got one last prime day but have been watching for my mom 😊)

    I got a board game that I'll save for Christmas. And a pair of jeans for DS for $7 for back to school. If anyone needs jeans for themselves, there are some really good brands on great sales. Lucky, Hudson, Joe etc.

    I got some big boxes of Lego, a bath toy, and the Melissa and Doug pizza set and astronaut costume. Nothing huge but I'm really excited about the Lego, even though it's going to end up getting put away for a while until the boys are bigger - I think it was a really good deal (the 800 piece brick box for $33 from $80 and the 500 piece brick box for $20 from $46).

    Wet brushes. Love em but my kids hide them, I swear.

    Has anyone seen good deals on good quality toddler shoes- like last year I remember there being a bunch of SKR. My 18 month old has outgrown hers and still needs a really flexible sole. I'm only seeing Osh Kosh type ones but I suck at searching on prime day I guess.

    I got a bunch of books and some bday gifts for upcoming parties.
