I pump into 5oz Medela bottles that came with my pump and by those pumped 11oz for the day. However when I transferred the BM into my 9oz Gerber bottles that I use for storage I had 13oz. Tonight when I make DS' bottles for tomorrow (Breastflow 5oz) I will most likely be 1oz short or have 1oz extra (DS drinks three 4oz bottles while I'm at work).
Has anyone else noticed that an ounce of BM/F in one brand of bottle does not always equate to an ounce in another brand?

I haven't noticed that, but I always measure out the liquid (formula) in a medela bottle before putting it into our playtex drop in bottle because those are hard to tell how much is in there.

I only had this problem with drop in liners by playtex. all other bottles I use have pretty much the same measurements

Yes! I use: 1) Medela 5 oz. bottles w/my pump 2) Lansinoh 6 oz. storage bags and 3) mOmma 5 oz. bottles for feeding and they are NOT the same amount! At first I thought I was going crazy. No comprende!

Weird! I used Dr Brown, Medela, and Comotomo bottles and didn't notice any differences...

I had this problem going from the bags to a bottle, the bags always had more than the bottle said it had

Oh I should mention that the storage bags always read differently than the bottles I pumped into but I just trusted the bottle!

@mrsjazz: good, I'm not going crazy.
I never use the amount listed on the bag because I've found that it makes a difference whether or not the bottom is fully expanded.

YES! My best friend was telling me the Tommee Tippee bottles were like this as well, so weird..
