@Mrs. Jacks: Lala is so funny!

@MamaMoose: Lol, DD has also been very interested in saying vagina and penis since her little brother was born.

Last night in the bathtub DD started emptying all of her tub toys out of the bucket. She got to the bottom and suddenly screamed, "Oh there's my hot dog! Hot dog , I found you!" I have no idea how her hot dog got from her play kitchen into the tub, but apparently she did!

A few nights ago, while DH was putting DD to bed, they were reciting Humpty Dumpty together. When they got done, DD looked at DH very seriously and said, "I like horses; I no like men."

My babe doesn't say that much but I think I recently confused him when I showed him a mom and a dad in a book and told him they were a mama and papa. Now he seems to think every female is called mama and every male papa. Yesterday at a salon he started pointing to all the models in the photos on the wall and saying "mama!" and then he pointed to a male stylist and said "papa!!" It was kind of awkward. We're working on the proper vocab now for males and females

My LO doesn't talk yet, so this thread is a good reminder of what's to come.

The other day I was in the car and looked back to see DD sucking her thumb. I asked her to please take her thumb out of her mouth because she was a "big girl" (we're trying to limit thumb sucking to nap/bedtime). She didn't so asked her if she was a big girl to which she said "no". I then asked her what she was and her response was "2." I wasn't sure how exactly to respond since she was right and kind of put me in my place.

My LO doesn't talk yet! My mom still remembers when I was 4 and came home crying from preschool. She asked me what was wrong and I told her I had a step-teacher in class and she was meaner than my regular teacher!
