I have been having a really hard time at night with my almost 20 month old. She was a super solid sleeper until teething and reoccurring ear infections the last few months. It has been a doozy!
I am trying a sleep sack tonight on her but afraid she'll wake up in the middle of the night and hate it. Wish me luck!

Ha! My kids rejected the sleep sack by 6 months! I can't figure out how people can convince their older babies and toddlers to wear them!

I thought DD (22months) was done with them because she fights putting it on EVERY NIGHT. But we haven't had much luck with using blankets so we started making her put a sleep sack on -- she hates it until we get it partly zipped and then she gives in. There have been a couple nights where we haven't been able to make it work, and first thing she says every morning is "Zip. OFF!" but overall it's gone okay. The only one we have right now is summer-weight, though, and I've been trying to decide whether to bite the bullet on a fleecy one because I'm pretty sure if I spend money on one, she'll start totally rejecting it...

DD wore hers until very recently, about 25-26 months - even in her full-sized bed! She had no problem getting in/out of bed and waking all around wearing the sleep sack. It was always a sleep cue and she wouldn't fall asleep without wearing one. Suddenly though, she went ballistic at the mention of wearing it, so we stopped.

I bought the early walker fleece sleepsack, the one's with leg holes, and so far so good at 22 months! Hope it went well last night!

My 26 month old loves her sleepsack. I'm worried what we are going to do when she grows out of this one because it's the biggest size that I can find for the A&A ones. She would never be able to go to bed without one, it's such a comfort to her.

My 29-month-olds still wear their sleep sacks for night and nap with no issues! But we have been wearing them since about 5 months, not sure if I had introduced them at a later age, how they would have reacted.

My 2yo thinks of it as a lovey, I think. But we're in the biggest size so we'll probably have to ditch it this spring

My 23 month old still uses a sleep sack, but he has been using it daily since a few months old. LO1 refused to go back into a sleep sack after having a break from it in the summer when he was 1.5.

My 2.5 year old's room is above the garage and has 3 external walls so gets colder than the other bedrooms. We use a sleep sack on cold nights since he won't keep blankets on. He has been too tall for the x-large for a long time so we cut off the bottom and added material to it, looks funny but works great.

@delight: @MrsSRS: - My original plan was just to cut the bottom seam off/leave it open when she got too tall for them. It was really just a sleep cue and she'd still wear them under a blanket. I introduced a blanket on top in prep for transition.

We used the Halo early walker ones with the foot holes until it got warmer last winter. So he would have been a little over two. I found that I had to put the sleep sack on him at the same time as his jammies or he'd freak out. So I'd lay down the sleep sack and the pj's over it and put them on when I was getting him ready for bed.
