If so ... when were you comfortable flipping it and putting LO in the top?
We are using ours like a standard bed, but with LO2 joining us soon, I'm seeing benefits of more floor space in LO1's room - so she has a reading nook and space that's her own.

We have it! We switched DD at 2.5yo to the loft version of the bed and put a reading book with book shelves, her anywhere chair and a tension rod with curtain. We positioned it so the ladder is against the wall and got a Trofast step storage system to put at one end of the bed as steps up. It's worked out great! I can take a pic in the morning if you want to see how we set it up.

I just bought 2 and would be comfortable with either of my kiddos on top (2 and 4) with a thin mattress. They are both very good with stairs and ladders.

@abbydabbydoodlebug: I'd love to see this set up, too! We just visited IKEA and DS was obsessed with Kura, so I think we may go that route for his big boy bed!

So we did a dress up area on one end, a tension rod with clips to hold the twin sheet that is folded in half. We added the wall mount light so she can close the curtain and turn on the light and read our play. We have some blankets and quiet toys in the shelf buckets too. She has a good 4-5 inches of wall around her bed because we chose a thinner ikea mattress. It's worked out amazingly well.

Following.. I'm thinking of doing two in an L shape for my kids who have been room sharing for about a year. (1.5 & 4.5 but not taking the younger one out of the crib just yet!)

@abbydabbydoodlebug: we are planning to get the kura in the next year or so when or before baby #3 comes.. my husband was worried about the ladder but I'll have to show him this and see if he likes it better!
