I'm usually very careful but DH and I had too much wine Friday night and got carried away 
I haven't been keeping track of my cycles because we use condoms so I'm not 100% on my dates but we had unprotected sex somewhere between CD 8-10. I ovulated on CD13 when I conceived DD. I'm not sure when I normally ovulate as I only charted one month when TTC DD...
Anyone conceive DTD only once on O-4 or O-5?

@SKINNYCOW: I've conceived twice on 0-5. DD is 5 yrs & I'm 20 weeks pregnant the second time. Both girls and we weren't preventing but both of those months we just happened to DTD one time close to ovulation, which happened to be O-5. Good luck in whichever way you hope it goes!

yes - my two year old was o-5. but the odds are pretty low for that!

We DTD on a Sunday and I got a positive OPK on the following Friday....and now we have DS

I'm pretty sure both my girls were in that range. We didn't Dtd any time except around then prior to O.

Not too late for emergency contraception! You can take ella (rx EC pill), or get a copper IUD placed up to 5 days after an oops. You can take progestin EC (like Plan B) up to 3 days after (but it gets less effective over time).

@lilyofthewest: Interesting... didn't know that about the copper IUD! I considered EC Saturday morning but decided just to roll with it. We were planning to TTC in a few months anyway so it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Getting a copper IUD is actually the most effective form of EC --almost always works.

I had a O-5 pregnancy, it might have been just a tad longer then that. I really thought i was in the clear....

I'm the other way but I drank a bottle of wine and got a little frisky. I was over 48 hours past ovulation so we said "eh, we're fine"........ our son had different plans.

Yep, I think my DD was conceived around O-4 but that was based on an ultrasound.
My 4mo old I was charting TTA but it was our last month and wasn't super careful. Ovulated a day earlier than normal and so we hit O-5. Sperm definitely lives that long 
I was trying to look up the chances I think I saw it was maybe a 10% chance of pregnancy (versus the 25% for close to O).

My current pregnancy!!!! O-5 approximately. I wanted to squeeze in one more but my hubby was on call or something so was too tired. Then we went on a trip w the kids so no hanky panky and I thought for sure there was no chance....

Ive had it be true for me and a lot of friends that earlier dates turned out to be girls. Looks like that mostly follows true on this thread too.

@T.H.O.U.: I actually read somewhere that a woman's environment can be more favorable to male v female sperm! We def were not trying for either gender, it's just what happened with timing ...and when you already have 2 kids it's pretty easy to keep track of when you are intimate, so I knew conception (and ultrasound confirmed each time!)

@winniebee: Interesting! Seems like most others who commented had girls. I have no idea which day resulted in DD because we hit O through O-4.
It's looking like I'm going to ovulate tomorrow, so I guess Friday would have been O-5. We'll see what happens

@SKINNYCOW: I had one of each. 1st was a girl (although like I said it was based on an ultrasound so we know those can be off a couple days). 2nd was a boy (and def confirmed O-5 since I was charting).
