My 9 month old is crawling around in the bed laughing like a maniac. She will pause to rub her eyes and whine for a sec and then go right back to laughing at nothing. It's cute and all, but just go to sleep!

Yep! He gets super giggly at absolutely nothing. It's so cute and funny, but it's almost always followed by an epic meltdown.

Yep. He gets almost manic when he's really tired. It's his biggest (and one of his only) tells. He'll usually crash right down once I put him in bed, though.

Absolutely and she loves to fight bedtime so we get to see that side of her regularly.

When my DS was a baby, he would start laughing like a lunatic, but I knew the window was very short between lunatic and complete meltdown.

Of course, when others are looking after her, I have to remind them that she doesn't get really cranky when she's tired - she just gets silly, which makes it seem like she isn't tired.
