I'm at my wits end, Bees. I just don't know what to do.

We rescued our pup 4.5 years ago. Unfortunately we didn't do our due diligence and didn't realize how damaged she was. She has issues with aggression - primarily with people she doesn't know, and children. She was getting better, and then she was attacked twice in one year, once very badly requiring surgery. She has since regressed.

I know you should never leave any dog alone with a child, and I don't, but the dog is starting to growl when my dd (8 months) even LOOKS at her. Sadie (dog) used to just avoid dd, which I was okay with. Dd isn't mobile yet, but will be soon, and I'm really nervous. The last few days, Sadie has been placing herself in between myself and dd, and growling at her. It breaks my heart.

I really really don't want to get rid of Sadie, because I know that with her issues she won't have a chance of being rehoused but will be put down, and I just couldn't handle that. I love her so much, but obviously my daughter's safety comes first and we're reaching a breaking point.

Does anyone know what I can do?
