I am just curious to see if anyone else has ever had or heard of a low grade endometrial infection. I was diagnosed with endometriosis in July and have just recently started charting using the Creighton Method and seeing a Napro dr. My Creighton teacher thinks, due to my spotting post AF, that I might have a low grade endo infection. I really haven't been able to find any info online so I was thinking maybe one of you might know?

Is that the same thing as a uterine infection? If so, I had it after I gave birth. They put me on 2 types of antibiotics for 10 days. An unlucky 10% of women supposedly get a uterine infection after birth.

@Crumbs: I don't think so, I think those are the same as a UTI. I'm not sure though! :)) I know it can be treated fairly easily with antibiotics though. I just don't know anything else. I have an appointment but not until Oct since that is the earliest I can get in

I haven't had one, although I have endometriosis. Sorry! Hopefully it's just a basic infection and is easily treated

I got pregnant just fine with the endo. Three times, actually =\. The endo didn't cause any issues, actually....it was a bunch of unrelated issues that cropped up that caused issues!

@Mrs.VW: did you mention you were concerned about an infection when you called? I would think your care provider wouldn't want an infection to go untreated for the next month.

@Mrs.VW: No, I think it's called Endometritis, not a urinary tract infection at all (I had them triple check to make sure I didn't have a UTI as well). It was an infection in my uterus. I had to get a couple of transviginal ultrasounds =/ Yeh, not fun. But it cleared up easy enough with antibiotics.

@Crumbs: Good to know - thanks! The U/Ss don't sound fun but I'm glad it can be cleared up quickly and pretty easily. Way better than having another lap

Thanks - after getting your responses I called in to see if they could see me earlier. Depending on if they can see me during AF (they might want to do a pelvic exam) I'm going to go in on Monday or Friday. Hopefully I'll have some answers soon!
