I'm all caught up on my podcasts and I need something to listen to while I do housework, any suggestions?

Do you want light and fluffy, literary, fiction, non-fiction? I listened to Hissy Fit and it was a really fun one, also The Devil Wears Prada.

We just started listening to audiobooks for the first time ever! I don't like to have the tv on when LO is awake, but I want her to hear lots of verbal communication to enhance her language development, so we just started listening to the Harry Potter books on audio. We keep it on in the background whilst playing; I'm not sure that she's actually taking any of it in, but I am! We're on book 3 right now and after we finish those, I'm going to see if I can't find some Jane Austen on audiobooks.

We do! I raid the children's section at the library and we listen in the car. I'm probably a bit, err, over-zealous, but we have been through a lot of classic children's lit so far. Trumpet of the Swan, Winnie the Pooh, the Little House series, Treasure Island, Peter Pan, etc, etc. I played a few of them twice and then asked LO about them--he's listening. And, holy moly, the production quality is often just awesome! There are some recorded children's poetry collections that are also quite good. (Memo to Dustin Hoffman: Your Horton sounds like a buffoon. He's a more nuanced elephant than that, man!
)
For more adult fare, I typically just turn on NPR.
I love Kai Ryssdal's voice!

"Bossypants" (Tina Fey) was great as an audio book, I loved hearing her read it.
If you are down for something nerdy there is a book called "Ready Player One" that I also listened to and Will Wheaton was the narrator. It is set a bit in the future, but the author had some sort of 80's obsession so it is a ton of 80's references.

Yes! I just finished listening to the hunger games series. Go to your local library if you haven't already! I know ours at least has a pretty good selection!

The library is definitely the most economical. I listened to audiobooks to preserve my sanity during my evening commutes. (Takes me about a half hour to get to work in the mornings and three times that to get home.)
So I subscribed to Audible. You pay a set fee every month and get "credits". I listened to Unbroken (about a WWII POW), Gone With the Wind (48 straight hours of narration, but very well done!), various humor books, self-helpish books, novels, etc.
Even if you don't use Audible, I would highly advise perusing their site, because they have everything. You can make a list of "possibles" then go to the library to see if they have them. (And try to listen to a snippet beforehand, because some narrators will make your skin crawl. This is why I've never finished Botany of Desire.)

@tlcbaby: I also listened to Bossypants! If I had read it, I would have heard Tina's voice in my head anyway.
Neil Gaiman's books are pretty good to listen to as well!
