M does great with her straw cup so I see no need to offer a sippy cup. Has anyone else gone straight from bottle to straw and never used a sippy? Any reason we should use a sippy?

Nope! If she uses the straw then I wouldn't offer her a sippy! My M never took to a sippy either.

LO never understand the sippy. She LOVES straws or just making a mess by trying to drink from a normal cup.

Nope. I tried a few times, but she was better with the straw from the beginning.

What brand of straw cup do you recommend? R uses a sippy...but I have to tip it for her to get some.

We skipped straight past the sippy to the straw! Really useful for when you're out and about and don't have a sippy cup and don't want to make a mess with a regular cup... just stick a straw in a regular drink.
@cheesetomywhine: I started with take n toss straw cups because it's the easiest to get liquid out of the straw. We also have these GREAT cups from Old Navy that are thick plastic, the straw is non-bite-able and you can't pull the straw out of the top. For daycare and to throw around we use Munchkin straw cups and a camelbak. They are the least leaky I have come across.

Lo is 6 months and I haven't tried a sippy yet, thinking about going straight to the straw cup - when did you ladies introduce it?

Nope. My 18 month old has just figured out a sippy, but the straw cup works just as well. It's a little more expensive, is the only problem.
