Ours broke and I'm toying with the idea of not replacing it. The only hang up is reheating leftovers.
If you don't have one, how does everything work out? Why don't you have one?

@Mrs. Polish: I have one now, but my family didn't have one until I was in high school. I got pretty used to not using one and very rarely use ours now. Most of the time I just reheat things in the over or on the stove. I think it tastes better that way anyway!

I have one, but I rarely use it. I usually reheat stuff in my toaster oven.

@Mrs. Polish: raise hand! Been living without one since last November and don't miss it! We just use the oven or stove to reheat stuff! It's not even a pain with a lo. We have a popcorn popper which is much better than microwave popcorn anyway!
We did a gut renovation of our kitchen and did not want a microwave cluttering out counters and we don't like above range microwaves. And we have a real range hood.

Our microwave died a couple weeks after we moved and we had a couple weeks before my parents were visiting and could bring a new one. Yes, we survived. Would I willingly do it again? No way. We don't have a toaster oven so the oven itself worked for reheating most things. But it was a pain to preheat the oven and the heat the food. By the time it was done, I had eaten something else This is embarrassing but we have day old coffee during the week and I would either warm it in the kettle or make ice cubes for iced coffee.

The hubs' best friend and his wife don't have a microwave... it drives me nuts whenever we go over there! It's something that we use all the time, but take for granted.

We don't have one! Ours died and I had only been using it to reheat my coffee so we didn't replace it. Now I don't reheat coffee, but other than that, no biggie. I reheat everything in the oven. We haven't had one in about 18 months. I don't know if/when we'll get another.

Our broke when we were moving last year and our new kitchen doesn't have a lot of counter space so we never replaced it. I actually love not having to worry about cleaning it lol. We reheat leftovers on the stove and in the oven, and I second @locavore_mama - popcorn poppers are the best!
