I like tv more so I have been streaming Parks and Rec. I have never seen it before and it is hilarious.

we're with the posts above - we watch more old tv episodes, like friday night lights and prison break. lately, my husband wants to watch korean movies. i don't think netflix has the best selection of movies, unless it's old movies. cable offers better movies.

for movies, we like documentaries like The Cove, Exit Through the Gift Shop, Confessions of a Superhero, the King of Kong, The President's Photographer, and A Lawyer Walks into a Bar (that last one I think is only really interesting to anyone in the legal field or is close to someone who has taken or is planning to take the Bar exam)
Besides documentaries, I also like recommending the movie My Name is Khan... a fictional movie based on current issues... heartwarming and a feel-good story... Some romance and cheesy parts, but also very sad sometimes, and comical too. beautifully shot as well.

Via instant stream we have watched tv series as well. Watched and finished 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, and Party Down. Loved them all!
Everything Must Go, Fair Game, Your Highness have recently been in rotation via DVD's.

I watched all three of the dragon tatoo series on nextflix. The European version, but they were very good

I just watched Troll Hunter on Netflix streaming. It's a Norwegian film and documentary style. It was very good! Although probably only if you're interested in fantasy/sci-fi, because, well, there are Trolls in it, obviously. But it's very different than what I was expecting, haha.

@NYCaliMama - Exit Through the Gift Shop is so good. Hubs and I watched that the other day.
We loved The Tudors and The Walking Dead. We don't have cable, so everything is through Netflix.
