Sometimes I'll put my computer on our island and I'll browse standing up.
Can't stand for long because my back starts hurting though.

I bought a standing desk & chairs when I got my first job. I really like the flexibility, as sitting in front of a computer all day can get very uncomfortable!

That is weird b/c it is supposed to help your back. My co-worker had a standing desk at work due to back problems. Maybe your counter is not the right height.

I wish I did. Ever since getting pregnant my back really hurts if I stay in my desk chair too long.

At work it's set up so that we have standing desks as the boss doesn't want us sitting and there isn't a lot of room behind the counter for chairs. If I'm doing a long project, I'll put a high stool back there, but normally we stand.

Our computer is on a tv tray by the couch.
