I had my annual appointment with my OBGYN today and she confirmed what I had suspected-my luteal phase is a little too short. I usually ovulate on CD18 in a 28 day cycle so my lp is about 10 days. She suggested I try progesterone suppositories but we are waiting until my husband gets is SA done.

As anyone else had a short lp and have you had any experience/success with the progesterone suppositories? She did tell me that there are two different kinds: older method=more messy and newer version=less messy bio-something (sorry didn't write down-bad patient). She didn't give me the prescription yet because we are to get DH a SA and I'm to check on what my insurance covers. She did say that a lot of insurance won't pay for the suppositories (especially the newer one) because they don't recognize a short lp as infertility.
