I know, I know, "ugh another housing-related post from kjpugs!" I can't help it!!! :::Anxiety!!:::

We're moving in 2 weeks to our newest rental- a townhouse, With DH.s schedule the lawn upkeep was just too much for us so we have been super excited! It's gated, there's a community pool and fitness room, and the landlord seems much nicer than the current jerk we have now.

The last week though I've started feeling INTENSE anxiety about noise. I lived in a townhouse in college and we could definitely hear each other time to time. When E wakes up crying at night, I feel panicked thinking about her waking up the neighbors. And our dogs- while usually very quiet- occasionally see a dog on TV and run up to it barking.

The townhouse is 10 years old- so newer, hopefully that means more modern soundproofing? Also the layout is such that the only shared wall is the stairs, although the stairs end and the family room (with TV) is right there, so while I don't know what's on their side, that's our family room wall connecting. The unit is a end unit so none of the bedrooms share a wall. The units are 2 story so no upstairs/downstairs neighbors.

Still- I am so worried. I don't want to move in just to be kicked out or hated because of our baby or dogs making noise. I just have no idea what to expect. Can anyone calm my nerves? Anyone live in a shared-wall situation and never/rarely hear their neighbors who have kids/pets? (Please??)
