Got a positive OPK this morning as expected. Here's CD 9-14 (today).
No fade in at all really, so I'm hoping that we're catching the beginning of my surge right now.
We did BD in the cabin last night - with no door between our bedroom and the main space where everyone was still hanging out! They were pretty drunk and distracted and we were under a blanket in a dark room, having "gone to bed." Unfortunately DH was pretty drunk too and wasn't able to actually make the deposit, so to speak. But it was fun at least.
I'm supposed to do my trigger shot tonight. Not really sure what to do, I'm going to read the instructions and look up a video. But if anyone has any thoughts/advice I'd love to hear it!

@dominobee: whoa, that's one dark OPK all of a sudden. Glad you got a fun BD in -- sometimes we forget to do that!

@dominobee: yay!
As far As the trigger, I literally did not feel a thing. Just pinch the skin and do it. Easy!

Ok, I decided to forego the OPKs because I don't think it will very reliable in terms of my PCOS. I'm thinking my best bet is to start temping. Off to Amazon I go...

@mrskansas: Quick! We're leaving for a wedding in about half an hour. Should I do the shot before we go or when we get back at midnight?
nectarine / 2180 posts
@dominobee: trigger is super easy, just punch a bit of skin around your belly button and jam it in. Its a quick shot a pretty painless, mine stung a bit for a min or so after the injection.
@madisonbee: I found OPKs semi reliable the cycles I did ovulate, even if I had a fake LH surge and no ovulation it wasn't a true positive unless I confirmed ovulation with either temping or my period. I used wondfos off Amazon and the Mabis thermometer. Good luck.

@snarkybiochemist: Nice to see you! Thanks for the advice.
How are things going for you?

@snarkybiochemist: Thanks for the suggestion. I couldn't decide which one to get. I figured it would be useful especially if and when I start Femara.

@madisonbee: Ok we did it! Me in my little black dress and DH in his suit. LOL.

Alright, I bit the bullet. I bought a BBT thermomter and another pack of OPK/HPTs. It'll come on Monday.
Even though my CM has gone back to "dry" since having (hopefully) fertile CM a few days ago, I'll do some charting and see if AF comes or if I get a BFP.
I'm turning 32 this year, so we're seriously considering seeing the RE after one round of Femara. Is that crazy?

@dominobee: wait wait....are you talking about the BD from last night or did you just BD right now?!
nectarine / 2180 posts
@dominobee: I pop in some to offer advice and support. I'm ok tired and queasy so first tri all the way.
@madisonbee: once I was on femera I stopped temping and opks bc I was monitored and told when to trigger and then have sex. Good luck

@snarkybiochemist: Well, that makes sense. I'm sure our minds (mainly mine) will change in the next few months so maybe i'll use the OPK and BBT more than I anticipate.

@madisonbee: it was comforting and helpful in the beginning and then it really started to drive me nuts.

Aggghhhh DH drank too much again! Hopefully it's fine if we do it in the morning.

@dominobee: he needs to slow his roll! I think the morning would still be good timing.

It's 3 am here and I've been violently ill since 5. Nothing like getting a stomach virus from your daughter to make you rethink ever being pregnant again. Ugh

@dominobee: morning should still be okay! Glad the shot wasn't too bad.
Still negative today. Feeling the same but pretty sure now it must just be PMS symptoms. I'll be using opks next cycle I guess!

@mrskansas: awwww, sorry you're feeling so sick! I definitely have those moments with my two (daily, even) when I'm not sure how we would manage another child. Hasn't stopped me from wanting one but I do question my sanity sometimes! Feel better!

@mrskansas: Ick. Sorry you're not feeling well. Hope you get better soon!

Good morning, bee hive!
I don't know if we are all religious, but I think this was nice to hear this morning.
I had a rough 24 hours emotionally. A couple friends had their babies and my newsfeed was flooded with beautiful baby photos and I just wanted to cry of happiness and sadness. This was a nice reminder when I woke up.

@madisonbee: Oh sweetie I'm so sorry. It can be so hard when it feels like everyone has a baby but you.
@mrskanas: Sorry you're sick!! Sounds miserable. Hope you feel better soon.
Here's me with legs up the wall after BD. Last night at the wedding every time DH got another beer I was like "don't drink too much" and at one point he was like "I already did." I was just like, dude come on. Not cool. Then after he's like trying to get me to keep at it and do things to make him finish and I'm like dude I'm tired AF it's like 1 in the morning and I'm not gonna go down on you for half an hour because you drank too much and plus it probably won't work anyway. So we did this AM and hopefully that will be fine. I was reading about IUI and they do that 1-2 days after trigger so hopefully this is still good timing! As for the legs up the wall, I figured it couldn't hurt. DH is downstairs making my coffee.

Ugh. Started spotting this morning so I'm officially out. Remind me again, is this CD1 or do have have to wait for full blown AF tomorrow? If it's starting today, I could probably POAS 4/30, but more likely 5/1-5/2. I've already ordered digital opks so onward to cycle #2!

@bushelandapeck: Your typo threw me off, LOL. I was like, "what does spitting have to do with AF? Is this something new?!" Anyway! Sorry, boo. Full blown AF counts as CD1.

Hello all! I've been reading all your updates and just want to say I'm sorry to those who are out here's hoping for New Years Babies!
I have no idea what's going on with my body. I have PCOS and haven't had a positive OPK, but by temps I suddenly got crosshairs for a couple of days ago. I've heard of false surges with PCOS, but not none at all. And I'm a multiple times a day tester. Not sure how reliable my temps are because I wake often in the night. Ugh.
Is anyone doing anything fun for Easter?
pear / 1677 posts
@Mrs.Panda: I feel ya sister. Knowing now that I have PCOS makes me relieved that there's a reason for my false surges. DH and I have sex almost every day (even before TTC), so I think THAT part of TTC is covered. It just feels like my body fails me every cycle, if that makes sense.
nectarine / 2358 posts
@madisonbee: yes, that's exactly how I feel. Like my body is failing me and isn't working like a normal person's, which I guess it isn't. Every time I see the negative strip I get really sad. I'm just surprised I haven't gotten any positive at all. I'll keep testing until AF shows. Where are you in your cycle?
pear / 1677 posts
@Mrs.Panda: Ugh, it's so frustrating. Hopefully you get a positive OPK soon -- not that the TWW is any better! I'm on CD29. No symptoms whatsoever except for CM "drying up." I wouldn't rely on it so much if the changes weren't so significant last week. If I'm going by that and nothing else, then I would probably be 6DPO.
nectarine / 2358 posts
@madisonbee: when I O I usually do it on CD 23 too! Even when I was on Clomid for LO#1 I did, which makes me believe I haven't actually O'd yet. It's so hard to tell what's going on based on CM alone. I have EWCM randomly throughout my cycle. Last cycle I used Premama which has myo-inositol in it and it completely jacked my cycle up. I think I'm still recovering. Did you use anything this cycle?
pear / 1677 posts
@Mrs.Panda: Oooh I haven't heard of that. My second cycle, I had a blazing positive OPK on CD56, so mine is all over the place. I didn't use ANYTHING this cycle in my attempt to be NTNP. I'm really trying to hold out until ny POAS date, but it's likely it'll be a .
nectarine / 2358 posts
@madisonbee: I wish I hadn't used the myo-inositol at all. I did Clomid 50mg Thisbe cycle. We shall see what next week holds for my OPKs. How many do you think we waste in a cycle? Lol
pear / 1677 posts
You guys, my OPKs just came today. I don't know if I should return it.
At this point, I'm CD29, I think my fertile days were from 3/19 - 3/26. I'm not 100% sure I ovulated since I'm not tracking it except for watching CM changes. The watery/EW CM I had for a few days changed to really white/gluey and now dry CM on 3/27. So I don't know if I should attempt to keep taking it.
I'm just waiting to POAS or get AF and start Femara next cycle, so I feel like these OPKs are gonna go to waste.
HELP?!?!

@bushelandapeck: I'm sorry. I usually count full blown af before noon as CD 1 or after noon the next day CD 1.
