@MrsMcD: I gave into to POAllS haha. I told myself I wouldn't until Thurs but I have a few $1 cheapies so what the hell, right? Ahhh are you giving in to test?!

@Kelli_Deluxe: If I had $1 sticks lying around I'd pee on them just for fun. I might be POAS sometime soon. Not sure.

@MrsMcD: Aw thanks for calling me out. I'm in the same boat as @septca - kind of bitter and cynical at this point. My period should be due on Thursday or Friday and I'm trying not to test because I've just come to expect it at this point. We haven't talked in any serious terms about interventions and I'd really prefer to avoid them, but it's hard to come up with a reason why we wouldn't be pregnant in six cycles (with perfect timing almost every time) unless something is wrong.

@PawPrints: Hi friend. Sorry to hear you are feeling this way. I get it. Just keep a small bit of hope up in care there is a baby growing in you.

I feel the same way as you do about "interventions" and wanting to sort of avoid them. But I'm do for my annual well woman exam next month and figure I will bring up my TTC challenges to her at that point.

Does any one else have any upcoming intervention-type plans in the making?

@MrsMcD: I might talk to my OB soon. She just wanted me to opk next month to make sure I'm Oing. Normally I think I wouldn't do anything till I was at the 12 month mark of trying but these really long cycles are kind of weird. I'm on CD36 now. If I actually Oed at CD32... my cycle is 46 days? That's getting close to being almost as long as two cycles for normal person. Uncool body.

@PawPrints: A few of my female coworkers were in the same boat as me... a lot of them were fine but took about a year to conceive. There might not be anything wrong with you at all! The chances even with perfect timing is 25%.

@littlek: is your phone still broken?

No updates here. I am cd10 and don't O until cd18 so nothing new here.
I go for my u/s to check follicles in 2 days, so there's that.

@Raindrop: Long cycles are definitely uncool of your body.

@CupQuakeWalk: A folli u/s is certainly something to look forward to.

@Raindrop: I love hearing about people with no issues TTC for a year, then getting pregnant. Not that I wish it on anyone, but it makes me feel better for our situation.

@AmeliaBedilia: Yeah I'm really lucky. I only work with a few women (engineering - lots of men) but almost everyone that had kids... had issues... so they are all very supportive.

Even when LO one was a surprise they were all so happy for me and then they started asking me about LO two coming and I confessed to a lot of them our struggle and was surprised how many of them struggled too. It was pretty comforting. Though their main advise is to relax! Easier said than done.

I think it helps to open up to people that have had kids... you will find out you are not alone.

I really regret telling one women that didn't have kids about us trying. She tends to say things that sound like it's MY FAULT we aren't pregrnant yet... like I should be doing this or that. Don't talk to people that don't have kids about TTCing!

I really can't wait for the day when I'm past this.

I need to join the "Bitter bunch." It seems like so many women decide to TTC, they BD once or twice, then BAM! I had read TCOYF and had been charting a year before we started TTC to "speed things along." Like the rest of you, I know all about charting, OPKs, preseed, etc. and it has not done me one bit of good. I am trying to trust God that he has a better time plan than I do. At least I don't have to agonize on telling the new job that I'm pregnant. (We are still in negotiations, which is hard.)

@AmeliaBedilia: are yo getting what you want in the negotiations? Have you formally accepted the job, or are you waiting on the terms?

Got a frer and tried it after work. I'll try again in the morning. It's still early days, so I'm not stressing yet.

Anyone else have a long luteal phase? It drives me crazy and obviously doesn't help me get pregnant. AF just arrived on 18dpo and I triggered so I'm pretty sure of ovulation date.

    @Crystal: POAlltheSs!!!!!

@bhbee: Mine is 14-15 days, so not nearly as gut-wrenching as you... I am so sorry. When mine is 15 days I go absolutely bonkers.

Thank you all for the yesterday. I am feeling a lot better this morning. The regular BD is seriously amazing (how do I forget that when it's not happening as often????) for body and mind (and sleep!). I went to the gym this morning and am generally feeling much better about life today. So thank you again!

@MrsMcD: I think it's a great idea to bring up your TTC concerns at your appointment next month.

As far as my upcoming interventions, I have my hsg next month, and am really hoping I have the guts to push for a lap (I tend to chicken out and not be as assertive as I should be w/ my health). My "phantom uti's" are driving me nuts, and if I DO have endometriosis as I suspect, I'm thinking it may be affecting my urinary tract or bladder at this point (which is why I often think I'm getting a uti only around AF). Other than that, I'm not sure how much else DH and I are willing to do in the near future. My insurance doesn't cover IF treatments and we're currently saving for a house so we don't have any extra cash lying around for treatments. FRUSTRATING.

Ummmm.... something weird is going on. I am about O-2 and have had watery or EWCM the last few days. Just now, when I wiped, I had a ton of bloody EWCM. TMI alert - the EWCM itself was tinged light brown and had streaks of red blood running through it. Has anyone ever seen this? I have not, usually just get the normal watery --> EWCM pattern and have never had O spotting. O isn't even due until Thursday or Friday.

@littlek: Maybe. Or checking CP. It just freaked me out a little bit. Like, NO! No spotting already, I haven't even O'ed yet!

    @Crystal: so sorry

I forgot to do an opk this morning. I'm going to do one when I get home after work, but hopefully it'll work. Also, my temp dipped today. I'm so confused. I was so crampy and bloated the last two days, then the + opks, but my temps don't show I ovulated. I almost think I should stop temping and doing opks and just wing it based on CD # like we did when we got pregnant last summer...

  33. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

@mrs. tictactoe: That was our method- BD around CD 14 in my predictable 28 day cycle.

The MC has really thrown my cycles off. I used to be 28 days like clockwork, since then it has been: 36, 29, 30, 33 (what I am assuming this cycle will be). This is so depressing, I just want to be KU again. I am bitter that I have to go through this when I should be nearly 6 months pregnant and planning a nursery. Gah, calculating that out made me teary.

I shouldn't get ahead of myself, since you're not out til you're out, but I can't see having a happy ending this month after the temp this morning.

  34. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

@septca: Maybe irritation from reaching up there?

@Crystal: I feel you. We would already have our baby by now if we hadn't miscarried. My next scary date coming up is when we started trying last year (June) and when we conceived (July). I can't believe it's almost been a year...

@septca: This happened to me and after googling I thought it was ovulation spotting that could indicate "super ovulation" and was all excited and made DH BD. In my case I needed up getting AF when I should have Oed...it was a funky 15 day cycle and I never got a positive on my OPK. I was pissed bc it was a waste of a cycle. I really hope this is not the case for you but that was my experience. I did get my BFP the following cycle though

@mrs. tictactoe: I am seriously dreading my EDD in August.

What makes it worse is that my sister's in-laws have a baby due within a week of when I would have. Hearing those updates are killer.

We are rapidly closing in on our first year of TTC. I am terrified our first BFP and it wont happen again.
