@littlek: I'm in favor of testing as much as you want! I tested with LO until I got my second beta back and the test line was darker than the control, and I'm sure I will do it again. I'm crazy superstitious after struggling with IF and couldn't make myself throw them away until she was about 7 months old. yes I kept 1.5 year old pee sticks in my drawer . . .

Well I've tested and it's official, BFN. Honestly, I'm relieved . AF has been SO weird this month I was deeply concerned I might have an ectopic pregnancy or something equally bad. Bring it on April! Depending on when AF officially started I'll likely be testing right around April 30.

@littlek: Thank you. No worries though. I want my BFP to feel good, and if I'd gotten it, I'd have been worrying about it still. Haha.

@RonniLeigh: sorry about being a rollover, FX for a BFP next month!

I am officially in the overthinking part of the TWW. Husband offered to give me a massage today. This is a very rare occurrence that's if love to take advantage of. Think it's safe? I'm 3DPO.

@Crystal: Thank you! Every month brings new hope.

I think you should be fine. Definitely take him up on it. Honestly, it might actually HELP if it relaxes you.

    @RonniLeigh: you're right, thanks you!!

I'm always nervous about all the what ifs, but I need to just relax and enjoy it.

@Crystal: I agree. It can't hurt, and might help. There's a woman in my area who does fertility massage, but it's pretty pricey. One rule of marriage- never turn down your husband when he offers a massage.

I am stressed out. This weekend we packed up DH's apartment, cleaned it (no small task), and had movers do the heavy lifting. The kitchen is a disaster with boxes everywhere. DH has one more week at the old job, so he is staying with a friend this week, then moves back! I also have to negotiate my new job contract this week, and I find that so stressful. I am 10DPO and while I have tried to not focus on it at all, that's just impossible. I am symptom stalking, but DH says everything is due to stress. I am more tired, think I might be having breast enlargement, more CM, worse acne, and my nails are more brittle. Most likely stress, but still fx!

@AmeliaBedilia: yay for new jobs! Congrats! Did you decide on your work schedule?

Good point about the marriage rules, especially when it's such a rare occurance!

Can you take a day or two off from work to help get the house situated? Or hire a cleaning crew?

FX for a baby! Is this still a jury duty month?

  12. AmeliaBedilia

    nectarine / 2192 posts

@Crystal: Still hammering out the schedule. I can't really take a day off for that since DH's grandmother died and I have to take a day off for her memorial service. It's mostly unpacking, so needs to be done by us, but good thoughts! LOL about jury duty- it is the last chance- I was supposed to do jury duty on CD7, but was excused. I am trying really hard not to get my hopes up again, because our timing wasn't great (O-4, O-2 since DH had a work trip, and my stress level has been super high). I am trying to tell myself that with everything going on, it isn't a good time for a baby, but you all know I would be thrilled (and freaking out). Enjoy the massage! What are you doing to distract yourself during the TWW?

@FaithFertility: haha I distrust massages too, they only last about 30 seconds...

@RonniLeigh: I'm sure it will feel amazing when you finally get your BFP. Hope you are feeling ok.

Well this is the second month I've had a 12 day LP. Finally on CD1 now. I am thinking this might actually be due to relaxing a bit now that someone is taking my fertility worries seriously. Obviously it isn't enough to get a bfp but il take 12 days over 9 any day

  18. RonniLeigh

    coffee bean / 46 posts

@Snowdrop: Getting there, for sure. Congrats on the 12 day LP! That's fantastic. A great improvement. I've heard 12-14 days is actually the ideal, so you're moving your way up! I'm so please that the doctor you're working with is helping you so much. I can't wait to get started with her. Now I just need to coax hubby into not making me wait. We're pretty close to the same CD (I think I'm somewhere around 2 or 3) so it looks like we're going to be cycle buddies. Fingers crossed this one is "the one" for you!

@Kelli_Deluxe: how did everything go? Were you able to get a hold of your dr for the IUI?

Is it just me but there are a ton of BFPs this month! I'm really excited because it feels like a big BFP month.

Hubs last night said he feels good about this month but I'm still not there... I guess I don't want to get my hopes up.

@doxielove: I'm so sorry you have having this pain and discomfort. I think you should go to the doctors and see what is going on. Its possible you had a UTI from last month and it just hasn't gone away. Since you are TTC, its best not to have infections like that distracting you and impeding your efforts. Best of lucky, lady! I know those UTIs suck big time.

@MrsMcD: Thanks. I know it's what I SHOULD do. I'm just so sick of doctors. *sigh* Think I'll wait it out and see how I feel tomorrow.

@AmeliaBedilia: Sorry you're having a stressful time. Moving and changing jobs is SO stressful, especially on top of TTC!

@doxielove: Well... I feel your sentiment. I generally don't go to doctors ever for things such as infections that I feel I can cure with something bought at Target. Good luck either way!

  28. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

@doxielove: you need to get that treated girl! You don't want to end up with a kidney infection!

@MrsMcD: I am happy with the length of my LP if it stays at 12 days but my progesterone levels are still low. 7dpo this month was 25, 30 confirms O (we use different units here in the UK) I think I have a type 2 LP defect which is where the corpus luteum never produces much progesterone but survives the normal length of time.

@RonniLeigh: Keep working on him! You have to chart for three months anyway, maybe that could get him to go now? I have zero hope for this cycle to be honest, I just want it to be over as quickly as possible (cue longest cycle ever).

    @AmeliaBedilia: How are things going?

  29. doxielove

    persimmon / 1388 posts

@Snowdrop: Yeah I know...I guess I like to wait it out 24 hours to "self-treat" and see if I actually NEED to go in, or if it's all in my head

This month is front loaded with POASers!! Who is still testing this week? You aren't out until AF shows up.....

We also have a ton of testers next week!

@littlek: No iui for us this cycle The on call doctor & her nurse were not accommodating at all. I'm not happy. DH and I spent the weekend out of town with lots of eating & drinking. We did okay with our bd'ing during the peak times but I'm just not feeling positive.

@Kelli_Deluxe: We have close POAS dates. (Although I don't plan to POAS.) I'm sorry about the IUI. Were you taking medications for the IUI or just trying to track your natural ovulation? Hopefully your BDing does the trick!

Girls... If I'm not knocked up by next week, I think DH and I will be taking a two month break. We really wanted to go to a wedding in Maui in December and, while he said he didn't want to stop trying because of this wedding, he now wants to take advantage of a spectacular hotel offer that needs to be booked by April 10. I don't think he understands that pregnant girls can't fly in their final months of pregnancy. Whatevs. I'm looking at the silver lining here...

  35. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

@Kelli_Deluxe: why did they not do the IUI? Well done on hitting your peak days.

  36. doxielove

    persimmon / 1388 posts

@MrsMcD: Is the hotel refundable? Maybe you can keep TTC and if you get KU you can cancel? DH and I were set to take a 3 month break this time last year because having a Dec-Feb baby would NOT be great for my job. We ending up not taking a break and I'm so glad we kept at it because I obviously am not KU yet. I would have hated missing those 3 months! I always would have wondered, "what if..." Just sayin'

ETA - not to be a total debbie downer!

@doxielove: I totally hear you on all of that.... I feel the same way. So I just looked again and the hotel deal (offered through Starwood Preferred Guests) just requires you to pay 1/2 up front. You don't have to select your dates. So we could secure our spot, and then if I got pregnant, pick a closer travel date for a babymoon, I suppose. Thing is... we really just want to go to Maui with all of our friends. I guess DH and I would have fun ourselves there, but that's not quite what we are wanting.

@doxielove: Also as an aside, I've basically put off TTC for years because it wasn't a great time for my job.... and now that clearly wasn't the best idea.

@FaithFertility: lol, yeah, DHs are like that. Fortunately this was a legitimate massage, though he ended up getting properly "thanked" later, lol.

@AmeliaBedilia: I'm just trying it relax as much as possible. FF said we had a "high" chance, so it's out of my hands now. I'm praying for all of us!

@Snowdrop: 12 day LP is great!!! How are you liking the new doctors?

@Raindrop: it really does feel like a great BFP month!

@MrsMcD: I love planning vacations, and this sounds like the perfect plan since it's adjustable. FX you get your BFP this month- your fertility will probably be increased just because you have a good vacation offer, lol.

@Kelli_Deluxe: that's so frustrating!!! Why wouldn't they do it?

@doxielove: I hope you feel better!

I'm 4 DPO and just twiddling my thumbs. I feel great about our bd timing, even though I Od a week (!!!!) late. FX this is it!

@Crystal: just waiting to go back for treatment in may when all the testing is done but I love how attentive they are. Been having 1hr charting lessons every two weeks where they also review my cycles and communicate with the doctor. Never come across anything so thorough!
Congrats on the great BD schedule!
