@Snowdrop: Congrats on your first year! Are you doing anything speical? First year is paper!

We didn't plan anything for our first year... so we just went to benihanas on a whim and we have been going every year since then!

@AmeliaBedilia: I'm in the middle of cycle #13 in 16 months. When I was conflicted on "next steps," I would tell myself it had been a year but "only" 9 cycles or whatever. As though that would somehow make a difference, LOL. As for stress, DH sent me an article about a survey showing stress linked to infertility. I'll have to post it...

@LindsayInNY: I am definitely open to suggestions on day trips! we have been to the Cape/Islands quite a few times, day trips to places like Rockport, MA, we've been to Newport, RI. we've been to Manchester VT but really nowhere else in NH or VT (except a recruiting visit to Dartmouth I took once). I wish the weather was going to be better for outdoorsy stuff - we absolutely loved Manchester VT but that was in August . . .

@MrsMcD: @littlek: @Raindrop: thanks ladies, I am excited about it, we are going for a resraurant meal back to the place we had our reception. Its only up the road but its the poshest place round here fir miles and so deff a special occasion treat. We had wanted to go to paris but i cant get the time off till august.

@ameliabedelia: hugs its all just so hard! Have you two had any testing? It really is the not knowing that is the worst.

Jumping in... I'm new to the 6+ thread.

    Cycle #: 6
    POAS/AF Date: 4/10
Favorite thing about Spring: Right now, Cadbury creme eggs.

Today is my test date and AF should start today or tomorrow. My boobs have been killing me for days. They usually hurt before AF but they hurt worse this time. I started spotting yesterday though so instead of testing today I'm going to wait to see if she shows up. I may test tomorrow, but I'm not sure that I'll need to.

@bhbee: Portsmouth, NH is nice - on the water. You could do that and areas of Maine all at once (Kittery, Kennebunkport). Winnepesaukee area in NH too. Obviously would be better in nicer weather though. When are you moving?

  9. bhbee

@LindsayInNY: sometime before/on May 31 . . . we will be leaving right as the weather gets nice, and heading into the Texas inferno!

@AmeliaBedilia: I'm so very sorry about AF and your upcoming 1 year mark of TTC. Like you, I will also have about 14 attempts at TTC when my 1 year mark comes up in June. Its tough to be approaching that point but its good to think about what you might do in the future. Do you mind explaining why you don't think you will try IUI or IVF? I ask because I, myself, am on the fence about what DH and I will try in the future.

@Crystal: We are close on cycle days! I'm CD7 today.

Does anyone ever wonder during the TWW, "what can I do right now on XDPO to help me conceive?" Is there anything specifically I can be doing right now?

@CupQuakeWalk: I've also stopped POAS. I think it sucks. I just wait for AF. But still pop in here whenever you would like!

@Boopers: Don't get down just yet. I feel like spotting isn't the end all, be all.

@septca: I'm also on month six. Still hoping it will be the last, of course. Oh I just saw your post on the first page of this thread about reasons why January is an awesome month to have a baby, thanks for that! (Though I'd be due right around Christmas if it works out this cycle). I'd been thinking about the opposite side of things - that I don't want to have to cough up the money for a coat I could wear while 8 months pregnant. But I like the idea of being able to eat whatever you want during the holidays.

@MrsMcD: Yay! Yeah I've also mostly stopped POAS, though sometimes I get tempted on 11 or 12 DPO.

@PawPrints: I didn't test last month. I really have no desire to anymore. But I MIGHT test this month because of vacation-planning purposes.

  22. CupQuakeWalk

    coconut / 8475 posts

@MrsMcD: me too I am going on vacation the day before af arrives. I am packing some tampons. If she doesn't show by the time my flight leaves, I'll pack a test as well. I look at it this way: if it's negative, I can enjoy my vacation and forget my sorrows. If it is positive, we can feel like our vacation is the perfect prize at the end of our ttc journey.

@CupQuakeWalk: I think that's a perfect plan!! Where are you going on vacation and for how long? I'm dying to take a vacation right now.

  24. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@CupQuakeWalk: That's annoying! I was expecting AF on vacation later this month but last cycle threw it off so I'll be in the middle of the TWW instead. Where ya going?!

  25. septca

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@PawPrints: I actually borrowed at mat coat from a friend. It wasn't the greatest or best fitting coat ever, but it worked. But I didn't actually need it that much - I was pretty much all baby, so I could wear my normal fleeces/coats without too much problem, and I was so warm from being a pregnant that I barely needed a coat... If we are successful this month or next (oh, please, fertility gods!!), I will be thrilled to have a similar due date to last time.

@MrsMcD: @LindsayInNY: first 3 days in SJ, Puerto Rico and last 5 days in Cape Coral, Florida. CANNOT WAIT. Much needed & deserved.

@AmeliaBedilia: What is the fertility blend your DH is going to be starting?

  30. CupQuakeWalk

    coconut / 8475 posts

@LindsayInNY: 25 days. 2-5 days. If I could count that high, I'd also count down the minutes. I plan on not using my phone to sign I to the internet at all whatsoever so I can really feel relaxed.

@PawPrints: Bummed you've made it to the 6 month mark, but very happy to have you. You're amongst good company. Totally agree on the creme eggs. My mom and I LOVE having these at Easter. I like peeps too. We can't get those over here in England though.

Apologies for radio silence on my part ladies. It's been a bit of an eventful week. DH quit his job rather suddenly on Tuesday, and we're now scrambling to decide what our next move will be. Could be we'll end up going back to the States at the end of the summer! Throws some of our fertility treatment plans out of whack, but we'll see what we ultimately decide over the next week or so. April for me will be spent making it through bonus period and supporting my new Domestic God.

I'm out! I'm starting cycle 14 at our official one year of trying. I'm surprisingly not too upset. We are going to Florida this month for a wedding and we are going to celebrate our birthdays while we are there so I fully intend to enjoy myself while on vacation! That's my silver lining

I find it slightly humorous because a year ago I told my friend whose wedding I'm in that we were trying in case it interfered with her wedding. Well here we are weeks away from her wedding with no baby. Baby making is so unpredictable!

Is it ok to move me to TBD? I don't think I'll actually test on 4/25, so I don't want people to be wondering...
