@Raindrop: hi!! Are you positive there isn't a faaaiinnnttt line on the hcg strip? I have flipped my phone everyway looking at it!

@Raindrop: I see a faint faint line. Test again in the morning and update us ASAP!
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@Raindrop: I didn't see a line, but I'm bad at seeing those. I did see one that's really far down, but I think that's the seam of the test?
Test again with both in the morning!!

@mrs bunchy: @Boopers: @Crystal: thanks for the positive comments! But @Torchwood : did say that if u test the two together there might be a false positive which I did.

I am trying really hard to forget about TTC and just BD a lot all through the month. I think it would be much less stressful. Of course, AF comes on April fools day- ha ha (totally sarcastic here), and that means my CD matches the day of the month. Normally, this would be great, but when I am trying to forget, it is just hard. Now I automatically know I should O on tax day. So frustrated.
On the job front, I am negotiating a contract, which is so stressful. Then I have to leave my current job, which is messy and I am totally dreading the challenges that go with that.

@AmeliaBedilia: *hugs* congrats on the new job. Leaving a job seems to always be messy but you have to do what is right for you.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: leaving a job is hard. You and your hubby are going through big changes right now!!! I know it's rough, but think about how much better it will be in the end.

@Raindrop: remind me where you're at again? Not usually many people on the boards at this time.

@Crystal:
Yeah I am CD32 and my cycles are normally 32-40 but my cycles have been getting longer and my doc wanted me to opk for my next cycle when I talked to her last week.

@littlek: sorry don't have any :(. I will try with another wondfo in the morning.

@Crystal: It is! But that's life, right? I'm from South Carolina. DH grew up in Mass but spent most of his adult life in Seattle before he moved to the UK. I know what you mean. I was in the same place with DH all through the first year TTC. From the beginning he was convinced it was going to take us at least a year to get pregnant anyway, so getting him on board for treatment early was impossible. I think, though, now that the year has come and gone he's more interested...probably more for my sake than because he thinks we need it. But I'll take it.
He did do an at home sperm analysis last week that showed potentially low sperm count, which I think might also be spurring him into action a bit. The test could be totally off or could have been due to recent circumstances, but he's now pursuing getting the full/official one from the doctor as it's become more of a real possibility to him that we might not be able to conceive without help.
@MrsMcD: Agreed! Positivity and not stressing excessively about it is key I think. DH and I will get whatever medical help we need to help things along, but in the mean time...bring on the BD!

@Raindrop: how are things? I "think" the opk would have been really really dark if you were pregnant. That's how it wa in my case. FX thought

@Raindrop: I see the line...but I'm curious how your testing goes this morning. Fingers Crossed for you!!!
bananas / 9229 posts
@Raindrop: That's definitely positive!!! Is this the first time in your cycle that you're using OPKs?
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Raindrop: is there anyway you can go to store and get FRER? I don't feel wondfos are as sensitive.
grapefruit / 4731 posts
Hi everyone. Took both tests again did the htc first and then the opk. Opk still dark but no squinter for the htc. :(.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Raindrop: hmmm, I'm not sure you want to hear this but I used to get dark OPKs before AF. I'd keep testing though... it's not over till it's over....
pomelo / 5000 posts
@Raindrop: bummer, BUT! a clearly positive OPK is a good thing! Go get busy!
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@LindsayInNY: Yup this is the first time this cycle, I wasn't using them before because they were stressful the two months I did use them but because of hellobee I asked about longer and longer cycles I talked to my OB last week and she wanted me to start using them for my next cycle to see if I am even ovulating. So when they came in I thought I would try them out. Maybe I shouldn't have!
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@T.H.O.U.: @LindsayInNY: @sarahnicole218: @Happygal: thanks everyone for commenting I think the squinter last night might have been because I tested the htc and opk at the same time. Touchwood mentioned if u do that u might get a false positive on the htc.
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@littlek: no worries! I don't have my hopes up :). But I would be happy if it was my month. I will see if I can stop by the store after work and test tomorrow morning.
FF calendar that I track my cycle (I just input when my cycle starts) says I should be getting AF on Monday but and my periods seem to be getting longer and longer so who knows!

@Raindrop: I don't know, I see a faint line on the pregnancy test...? Maybe I just need to clean my computer monitor
persimmon / 1388 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: Sorry to hear AF came, but sounds like we're cycle twins! My CD 1 was April 1st, too. Bummer. Sure does make NTNP difficult when I KNOW my CD!
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@doxielove: haha you and everyone are super sweet. I looked at it again and I am pretty sure it is stark white.
persimmon / 1388 posts
@Raindrop: Idk, I've seen plenty of stark white tests in my day, and that doesn't look stark white. Jus' sayin'. FRER!!
ETA, just looked at it on my phone, and now I don't see it. DARN! Tricky tests!
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@doxielove: The glare from the OPK could be throwing off what you are seeing to.. that happened to another HB on the POAS thread... it stinks.
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@doxielove: Yup I agree with @littlek: I think it's glare!
So the more and more I read about positive opks and negative htc. It's definitely not looking good for me! It seems that having a second LH flare in women is not uncommon. Also positive opks for htc only happen after an htc also gets a positive.
Anyways I'll keep everyone up to date. This seems to be an interesting experience.

@Raindrop: You brought out all the lurkers!!! I love the lurkers!
@AmeliaBedilia: I hope your job situation can help keep your mind off your cycle days. Best of luck, doll!

@Raindrop: Another lurker here I still think I see a faint line on the pregnancy test. FX for you!
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@MrsMcD: Hope I'm not a lurker.. I'm a cheerleader!!!! Or spirit captain.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@littlek: Oh please friend... you are hardly a lurker when you started the thread!!! But soon you will be a lurker when you abandon us TTCers!!
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@MrsMcD: Happy accident! It is nice to see so many people on the thread today.
@MrsMccarthy: Thanks you, you are so sweet! I would be so happy for but I'm not holding my breath
Definitely going to try to get a FRER today.
Again everyone it is not looking good for me... I have wasted a lot of time reading about OPKs dark at end of cycle and HTC negative still.

@Raindrop: you mean HCG? I am really sorry:( fwiw: it looked like there could be something there but then again, sometimes those wondfos are crappy
@littlek: you're not a lurker. Stay with us. I need my friend
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@CupQuakeWalk: Haha I do mean HCG ... HTC is an acronym for work.. doh!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@CupQuakeWalk: @Raindrop: I see a faint line on both HPTs!!
