Are pricey clothing brands worth it for LOs?

Hanna Anderson is worth it! I find they are always my favorite pieces and the ones I reach for most.

I've had really good luck finding HA stuff at a once Upon a Child (just got two baby dresses for $5 total). My sister uses HA for her kids and then they get handed down to mine in perfect condition.

The biggest issue I have with clothing quality is shrinkage. I ain't about to hang dry every little item my LO wears which means her Target and Old Navy stuff shriiiiiiiinks like crazy! For me more expensive clothes can be worth it because they don't shrink as badly and she gets to wear them longer. I still shop cheap for LO because that's our budget.

@stratosphere: My MIL buys Peek for LO and I can attest that the quality is great.

I think it's only really "worth" it if you have multiple kids of the same gender that they will be passed on to.

I pretty much just buy what I like regardless of budget and it mostly ends up pretty equivalent because the cheaper stuff gets worn out, and the nicer stuff holds up and therefore can be resold to recoup some of the cost. You do run the risk that something more expensive gets stained or doesn't resell but I'm ok with that. And this is within reason... I buy my kid smocked clothes and Ralph Lauren, but I don't buy them Burberry. I've never been a fan of the style of either HA or Tea Collection so those aren't really on my radar. I always forget about Mini Boden but a girlfriend just reminded me so I'll probably get some fall basics there this year.
