I took a few "last bump" photos when I was in early labor, but none at the hospital until after he came out (and then my MIL took some photos, including D holding him for the first time, him handing E to me, and the first latch, for which I'm eternally grateful). I'm kinda annoyed with myself in retrospect--I had brought my nice camera and promptly forgot about it!
If I have another LO I'd love to have some birth photos taken!

Our doula took somewhere around 85 pictures of the laboring and birth. They are pretty amazing to have. It took a few months before DH and I could look at them without crying.
It also helped our moms, who we didn't allow to be in the room for the labor and birth.

Just a few in my hospital gown and laying in the bed during peaceful bits of labor. All subjected to my approval because I was a hot mess towards the ends of my pregnancies.

DH took some of the room and me all hooked up with the oxygen mask (think that was what it was). None when I was pushing since he was holding a leg up. Right after I made him get the camera so he could take pictures while they cleaned her up a bit and tested her. Then he took pictures when I finally got to hold her.

I have a pre-hospital picture, and one of me laying in bed with DH before hard labor started. None from pushing through.

Yes, my husband was snapping pictures with his phone while I was in labor. At the time I had no interest in being photographed and didn't think I wanted the pictures taken, but now I treasure them!

Not until after LO was born, and it was well after he was born since he ended up in the NICU. I was grateful that my husband had enough sense not to take any of me in labor. I hated any pictures of me while I was pregnant and certainly didn't want any while I was in labor.

Yes, I had a birth photographer and my mom videoed the birth as well. They are priceless to me, and they really helped me process the birth later.

YES!! I hired a birthing photographer and loved it!! She took pictures all throughout my labor, then took pictures of the birth by standing at my head. I would totally hire a birthing photographer again!
@Arden: I want a video next time too! There's just some things/emotions that can't be captured in a picture.

Yes...my mom taped the labor?! I had no idea she would do that. With my second, DH just took a few pictures before I had strong contractions and a few pictures of me holding baby.

Just a couple of the beginning, before contractions had really kicked in. DH thought it was hysterical that I was fixing my hair and makeup, so he took pictures of that

@Alivoo01: I couldn't remember the first words I had said to her, and that really bothered me until I saw the video and heard "Happy birthday baby!". It made me so happy to know that through all the drama and pain I had managed to say that to her right away.

DH took a couple in early labor and my mom snapped some while I was pushing. I'm not sure what she did with them because I haven't seen them. Lol
